I had not done any metal work in a long time. Now I have the itch...:)

We are about to start a bumper build for a friends 04 Tacoma. I just need to get a 1.5" die for the JD2 bender.

Oookay fellas. Thought id pop in here

Im looking for a tube bender that can do square and round .120 DOM. I don't care if its manual, i like the challenge and im not going to be making shit commercially. Just something to make round things for me so i don't have to use all square tubing at angles

cheapish would be nice too of course haha

    $$$$$$ lol

JD2 FTW! You can get away with a HF kinker but nothing ever looks all that great when bent with one of those.

Our square dies will be released in in a couple of weeks, and we beat just about anyone on price and can bend .188 wall DOM. All dies are 180 degrees and our dies are less expensive too. Send a PM if you think you might be interested.

JD2 stuff is expensive. I have a budy local with the bender that I can snag when I need it. He just has a .75" die for what he uses it for, which doesnt do to much for me.

I just checked out your stuff, Thats a nice setup.

if I am spending 300 on a JD2 Die for a borrowed bender, might just stretch a little a go with you setup.

Can you order it with a 1.5" 4.5 CLR die? it wasnt listed as an option.

    Thanks

I am not sure if I understand your question. All the dies do 1-180 degree bends (or more, but why would you?), and we have 1-1.75 inch dies in 4.5" CLR and 1.5, 1.75 in 5.625" CLR. We are working on some square dies and a 2.00" tube die.

    Sure can, right here: https://www.roguefab.com/product.php?id=26

Hey fellas I have a question. So im grinding down some crappy welds and the rivets on my frame with a 60grit flap wheel. Now When i painted over where I grinded you can still see the marks that the flab wheel leave. Do I just use a higher grit flap wheel?

Yea to get stuff smooth you have to gradually increase the grit to get a supper smooth finish. When i used to polish parts on my Supra i start with 120, then 220, 440, 800, 1000, then 2000. Takes..a LONG time and a lot of work. Worth it tho..

but if its on the frame..i wouldn't worry about it.

I'd go to 80 and maybe as far as 220. I doubt you'd need to go farther than that.

Ya it doesn't have to be perfeck. I just want it to be a little smoother so it doesn't show through the paint

Yea just use a higher grit till you get the finish you want.

    ...too much shit to list.
I wouldn't bother. If it bugs you that much, spray with with rustolium bedliner or the hammered finish spray paint and you'll never even notice it.
