Yeah, he might be cute there... but you haven't seen the un-fixed male in my neighbors back yard when he has a female in heat back there. I swear both of them were going to come through the fence and kill my dogs. They were totally enraged and I DID NOTHING but get my dogs away from the fence (they were barking at the strange female in the yard).

I sprayed them both with HALT to calm them down and it took like 4 times as much as a normal dog to get them to go away and calm down.

He's normally a mellow dog, but I seriously feared for me and my dogs that night.

This is a female by the way...

I understand, when my females are in heat I move them into the garage away from my males. Simple solution to a simple circumstance ImpulseRed.

I have direct tv and my bullies don't touch anything. I train my dogs, I put in the time everyday to train them. They are very good pit bulls. Some people are lazy, and that gets them into trouble. Pits are high energy dogs, which gives me the chance to work out. I run my pits, until they get tired!

I have seen some pits tear stuff up, but that is with any dog you leave in the backyard and don't do any activities with them...

You nailed it in this post man. The dogs need something to do or they will find something. I give my girl stuff to do every day, she stays loose in the house. Only had a few troubles, but never anything major.

    Good job Kungfupanda!

GET SOME! they have a law in omaha witch is pretty fair, if you have one you have to have posted dog on the property shit and then you have to have a million dollar umbrella policy. this is good or fair i think. my neighbor has one i love it, its just as nice as my dogs. but the horror stories by the media dont help!

i don't suppose this college stressed to much on common sense or an open mind did it? Some people unlike yourself can actually think outside the box and not belive everything the media tells them.
I used to have a cute cuddly little basset hound that bit more people than any pit bull i've ever had or known anyone to have. From what you're saying i guess we need to ban anything with canine teeth befoe they murder someone ..... damn ......people have two canine teeth now what?????

APBTs were bred for dog fighting & they have a lot of drive in them. They are not human aggressive in anyway and make terrible guard dogs as they love human. If trained at a young age & well, they can very well co-exist with other dogs...

I can't explain the behavior that occurred in your yard, but usually males of any breed would become aggressive towards other males as they are competition to breed with the females in heat.. It just happens so that APBT are built so muscular that it makes them look vicious.

You're so quick to blame it on the media but I never even mentioned the media. I have a friend who is also a 'responsible dog owner' as you love to call it and he was actually attacked by two of his prized pits. He now has a horribly disfigured arm and still didnt learn, he kept one of the two dogs. I dont know what it'll take for you pit lovin mofo's to understand..

There are dogs that are human aggressive occasionally in any breed. Those dogs should actually be put to sleep. Your story of your friend could not be any more true that those portrayed by the media so no one is going to pass judgment on the breed based on your friend's experience whether it occurred or not. The media story's are usually far from the truth because they claim any dog that resembles a APBT to be a APBT. (ranging from American Bulldogs to Boxers), but at the least there is some truth to it because there are witness, pictures, or something of proof of the incident involving a dog. Your story on the other hand, simply lacked any value to it.
