Nice! Just installed the new TYC headlights. These are shiny :D

I'm going to have to put a nice coat of Rustoleum bedliner on all my armor. Rustoleum professional doesn't last all that long, especially after Pismo

So I'm running the icon rear resi's with deaver j59 pack and obviously it can't keep with front, I beat the snot out of it. Which leads me to my question.....had a bad noisy regear redone at yota masters, came out great. Yota masters did not do 1st one. Nice n quiet now. Now I noticed a very small vibration at 40-55 that showed back up at higher speeds. Not bad and barely noticeable. So I go back in and he (Eric at yotamasters) drives it and barely feels it. Put it up on rack and let it idle......fuck! drive shaft is bent!!! Has a little wobble. Not crazy but defenately noticable now that truck is quiet and no bad bearing.

So how the fuck does this happen? I could see if I bashed on rocks or something...or could having the rear buck up hard off whoops do it? I was thinking maybe it's from when I blew diff on hill climb and had original regear done....idk!!!

Started taking apart the rear suspension to install the new leaf pack, had to cut the U-bolts since they were rusted solid on there (which i expected) and now it seems the bushing is frozen solid on both the passenger and drivers side, got the nut off but the bolt will not come through no matter what!!!!

gonna take a torch to the bushing tomorrow to see if that will help.

On the plus side i just ordered an optima red top and a bestop for the taco :D

well drive shafts are very very picky. They have to be perfectly strait and balanced in order to be vibe free..so yes, several things couldve thrown it out. Even just a small bump on it can.

Tyc? Link? I need some new headlights too mine are all hazey and getting worse. I don't think buffing them will do the trick. There's a lot of dust in em too lol

I don't think much will in pismo, getting sand blasted the whole time lol

Edit - ahh just saw em on rockauto

Recently installed OME lift kit w/882 coils and it's way better riding and handling that stock. So......I removed the sway bar and to me, it's even better. The ride over rough stuff is better and if you didn't know the sway bar was gone you'd never notice it and that's probably mainly because of the 882 coils. I have to push it hard in a high speed corner to notice any slight lean at all.

Can't wait to get it in the hills and try it out. The articulation should be noticeably better. :)

I fuckin' HATE Pismo! I will go to the mountains to get away from people and sand storms. I've only been there once but it wasn't all that fun. Didn't help that I blew up the previous motor that was in my truck

And yup! Rock auto is where I got 'em. Something like $70 shipped for both lights. I didn't realize you can adjust these with 1 screw. My Honda has 3 adjusters per light LOL

Moved my rear shackle mounts foward 3 7/8" to get a better shackle angle with my 6" shackles and expo leaves. I was also nice to lower the rear 1 1/2". :) Only bummer part (sorta) is that my 10" 5150s are too short (who wants to buy em?? :D) for the amount of travel (mostly droop) I will now be getting... I still have to fully flex out the rear end and measure everything before I decide what shock and shock configuration to go with.

I had to cut my fucking bolt off. Took a bunch of sawzall blades as I couldn't drive to the shop to use a cutoff wheel or anything else that wouldn't take like an hour:mad: From what I found out AFTER, seems like all the how tos forget to tell you, that its a common problem so I wasn't prepared. You get a replacement bolt ? I had to have toyota order it for me, but you can use any grade 8 bolt, forget the size but I can find the dimensions if you need.

I found two scratches on my driver side, across both doors :(
on the other hand I found plastidip and realized a black interior would be pretty nice (permanent painted black)
