ways to increase MPG

Could i get a list of mods i could do to my "truck" to increase my MPG or tips

Trade it in for a Prius.

 

Get a scan gauge and lighten up on the skinny pedal. The scan gauge will show you real time what your fuel consumption/mpgs are and will help you calibrate the egg you put under your accelerator pedal.
A light foot with a bit of common sense will make it so you don't jam on the pedal to get around someone just to have to jam on the brakes for a light. Taking off from lights and sudden accels/decels don't help manage energy well....which means worse gas mileage.

 

This may be counter productive given the price difference, but I have noticed better mpg when using higher octane gas compared to the regular 87 octane. I suppose this makes sense given the manually states better engine performance with 91 octane and therefore less effort on the engines part to perform the same level of work?

Funny thing, the mechanic at my work has an old saturn. He has taken out the door panels, rear seats, passenger seat, door handles, hub caps, and blocked the grill to cut down on air resistance.

He gets 49 mpgh

 

Wow, that's impressive but probably isn't pretty.

 

I would think that would make it run hot as the air is used to cool the radiator.

 

Believe it or not, according to the Hypermiler guys hot air is good for mpg.

Some guys have their intakes grabing air right by the headers. Bad for performance, good for mpg...

 

Saturns have radiators?
