    Some random BS:
I had been running AllPro wheel spacers up front for about a year and half or so before getting my LT (Took them off the front after installing the LT.)

Any who, I was able to take off my stock wheels and pop them back on without any issues.

Fast forward to the week I got my LT and took off the front spacers but kept the rears; I have now thrown on some aftermarket rims and haven't had a need for my stock rims.

I eventually bent a rim in the dez and had to replace the rim with a stock one till fixed. I took off the bent rim and tried putting my stocker back on the spacer like I did for many a moon. For some reason, it doesn't want to go on like it used to- the spacer's lip seems like it got bigger (keep in mind the hub-hole is bigger on the aftermarket rim.) I do my best and get the lug nuts to go on and get the wheel on after much trying. Then I blew a tire in the dez and had to use another stock spare. Trouble was had getting it on but finally we got it on to the spacer.

Days later, I try to take my wheel off to do a look-around. The wheel WON'T come off. I tried tugging and Reckless tried tugging, but no luck. Eventually I took it back to my house and whacked the tires with a sledge hammer that got the wheels off.

The AllPro spacers seem to have a lip that expanded past the original lip. Is it possible it expanded while running my aftermarket rim?? Discuss! (BTW They fit fine on the aftermarket rims still and do not give trouble when removing the wheels.)

So its a Toyota hub-centric spacer on a wheel that has a different size hub? Maybe possible, call All Pro and ask them they may have a solution.

Clearance and corrosion, Sure if its a tight fit and the spacers are not coated/anodized its possible that the corrosion locked them on, and or depending on material some form of electrolysis could have come into play.

Next time try smearing anti-seize around the lip of both surfaces to insure not issue.

Yep. Toyota hub-centric spacer that fit my stock rims just fine before I put on the aftermarket rims- now it's like the lip got thicker! I'm gonna save me my breath and just work with the spacers; they seem to fit my aftermarket rims just fine, so if I ever go flat and need my stock rims, I'll just remove the spacer I guess :)

Yeah they definitely aren't anodized. They weren't too dirty when I got them off. It's hard for me to accept corrosion as the culprit ; I only had the passenger side wheel on the spacer for a week before I bashed it off with the sledge. O and I did apply anti-seeze ahead of time before my struggle. It's like it was pressed on when I put on the lugs.

if its a spoke wheel then yes, not steel, so ya its a clearance issue and the lugs pressed it on the spacer most likely.

It was just so weird that the wheels fit just fine before applying the aftermarket wheels to the spacers. But shit, we've all seen some weird crap while working on our trucks right?

indeed, im getting a weird humming noise around 65-75 MPH with my new tires, and a take off vibration can be felt in the seat, not sure if its the new tires lug pattern or the carrier bearing/universal joint going.

its wiggles, all the U-joints feel good, I grease them once amonth just to clear the dirt and what not. The CB seems to be drooped down in its carrier and is loosy goosy when you try to move the shaft. I remember a member had added/modified the CB to have a real thrust bearing from Mcmaster Carr but was not succesful in finding the thread.

Anybody on here ever own a Samurai? I am starting to search for a DD so I can park the Taco to cage and all and am thinking this might be perfect since I could take it hunting and all.

Mainly looking for info on MPG guys are getting and such. My old Capt from a boat I worked on owns one (stock) and his wife owns one (completely built crawler) and they love them. Just wanted to hear opinions form others.

I had opportunity to buy one with some fuel delivery issues years ago for 500.00 (helped lady start it in parking lot and she tried to sell it to me) and kick myself for not buying it. Now that I am looking for a DD its back in my thoughts.

If I found a good deal now id buy it otherwise will be buying something with tax return in February-ish . Also open to other suggestions for DD that is still usable to do what I need. Taco just needs to not be driven as much as it is (and I need ability to take apart for more than a few days).

Possibly, I've been throwing around the idea of a 1 piece with Cardan knuckle, not sure if a 1 piece would be an issue of high centering since I dont have a bigger lift.

Actually I drive from Santee (and eventually Lakeside) to PB 4 days a week so lot of freeway or Mission Gorge. Thats where the Taco is lacking, I avg MAYBE 15-16mpg sometimes more like 14-15.

From what I see a lot of Sammi's get mid-high 20's hwy and if I could fine one with a VW diesel high 30's (gonna look for that).
