Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You'll find the same system on Jeeps, Fords, etc.

Did you get your order in? I was thinking of jumping in on that group buy too for the same winch but decided there's other things on the list that I need to do first.

yea i sent scott a pm and he called me today. engo's prices are low enough that he was able to put it in, but warn is pricey enough that he needs to do another group buy to be able to sell them at that price again.

Well today i decided to try to pull the front diff actuator after seeing the pictures in court today. It is a corroded mess, but I took the time to clean it and tried to patch up the contacts with some solder. Didnt have time to find the schematics and use a multimeter to try and see if the actuator would actually work. tried plugging it in and flipping the switch but with it not installed the dash lights just flash like crazy. after installed it doesnt work any different than it did before.

-I flip the switch to 4hi, the 4wd light starts flashing and you hear it click. I assume it is actually in 4wd but it doesnt realize it so it never locks on, meaning I can never get into 4 low.

Is that a motor, solenoid, or capacitor?

Ok, gotcha. That's a worm gear and not a spring. That straightens out my confusion.

Roger. Pretty sure that motor is fried. I'm hoping we can verify that with a multi meter and test it with a power supply. If that's the problem I'll order a new actuator and seal it up with rtv when I install it.. And hopefully be done :)

doesnt appear to go all the way through, just a weird piece when it was molded. but I guess it wouldnt hurt to silicone it anyway. if you are going to tear into your shit this weekend and mess around with the actuator I'd like to go down and help and mess with mine too
