The cab is a little cramped, the cab height, but not bad, just when I'm a little stiff and sore. Heated mirrors would be nice, ipod inlet, Although I wouldn't get it, offer a V-8, 4 runner has one ? As for a company I think Toyota should be able to allow us as consumers to factory customize our vehicles, if we will pay for it , why not ? I.E. 2008 regular cab, V-6 w/SC, TRD off road, 3" factory lift, BFG's AT KO's, TRD exhaust, well you get the picture. :D

2009 4x4 reg cab. Modded with more to come
Polished 16x8 Pro Comp 1069's 4" BS Nitto Mud Grapplers 305/70/16 Magnaflow & glasspack muffler Stainless tip K&N 63 series Aircharger Vent visors Autometer volt and dig. temp. gauge custom mounted Factory chrome rear bumper (not black factory, one) TRD pedal covers TRD skid plate Hurst T handle shift knob Rear Tint Clear bra on the sides Chrome extinguisher Icon non resi coilovers, ICON RR shocks, black seat covers. And some other crap

Yea I agree there are some things that should/could have been included which would have cost Toyota pennies to do, like a locking glove box, I mean come on, I have own some POS"s in my time way back when and I think they all had locking glove comparments. I usally take everything out when I take a vehicle in for servicing anyway.

It probably wouldn't have bankrupt toyota if they made the tail gate handle locking either.

Just look on the bright side, it gives us a good excuse to mod:)

As long as my truck comes with a single CD/AM/FM radio with at least 2 speakers and AC I'm fine with it. Everything else you can pretty much buy online.

Pop N Lock + Hose Clamp. DTRL, AFE drop-In Dry filter, 6-1/2" Replacement Speakers, JVC HD Radio, Sam's club variety Floor mats (cheap but effective), Chrome Exhaust tip, Bed Mat from ol' Ford Ranger. As of 3/25/2020, the Odometer just turned 70K.
One more thing that I would add is the "FOG LIGHT SWITCH." With the current arrnagement, you can't tell whether the damn thing is on or off. Two level illumination for ON and OFF would be definitely a +++++....

Also the Drive SHIFT position on Automatic at the SHIFTER. A selected gear should be MORE illuminated than the rest....

We seemed to be on a roll here .....

    Let's add:

Power Moon Roof or VISTA Roof like those from Nissan,
Rain sensing Winshield Wipers (even Hyundai has them now...),
Scangage II built-in to the DASH,
    Blue Tooth equipped Radio,
GPS with hot sexy sultry provacative voice (or Chippendale's voice for ladies), he he, he :D,
    Glove box Lights
How about "On Star" from GM.

Wait, one more.... Let's ask for one of those "self-parking" features from Lexus.....

PS: Just trying to be humorous here..... No disrespect for the previous poster.... :D :D

Seems like we're living up to the traits of our species. Give us Rome we want the moon. Funny how we all put out the bucks to buy our Tacoma's and the first thing we want to do is a list of Mods as long as our arms. I for one am so thankful to live in this country and also have the means and health to do so. And if this weren't true we wouldn't be reading these threads right now. OK I'm done and hell I want some of Mars not the moon.

POWER OUTLETS ACTUALLY HAVING POWER WHEN THE KEY IS OFF!! Someone should be fired for that one.

Rear disc brakes should be standard no question.
AUX port on the stereo. Another engineer should be fired for that
    Access door windows open
    4x4 lighted knob
    better payload (at least 1500)
    better overhead computer
    Cargo/glove box lights
Daylight running lamps should be standard on every new vehicle. I hate these ubercool morons driving with running lights at night.

I also firmly believe none of the above should increase the price of the vehicle.

My one luxury item would be a MK19 grenade launcher to "remove" excess minivans from my path of travel.
