What year did Toyota start using the BHLM headlights?

My eBay headlights have started pealing and I just want to go back to stock headlights. Also ive never been happy with the light output with the Revotec's. I can get a discount through my job through the local toyota dealer. But I wanna get the black ones. Thanks for any info

 

09+ I believe are the smoked ones. Toyota has never offered a full BHLM stock.

No that would only be if you have some sort of "special" type of vehicle like a TTFJ

 

The '09 was a tinted lens and not a BHLM! As far as I know there is no factory BHLM.

 

Titus-Will and Toyota of Dallas will sell you anything you want and they won't require a VIN.
They have an option to input it to confirm fitment... omission of the VIN simply means that you accept responsibility if the part doesn't fit.

 

It must have been an option then because my 09 does NOT have tinted or black lights.

 

only trd models had the smoked option.

 

Smoked are mostly useless...they don't look any different than regular chrome in most lighting conditions.

Still recommend popping them open and doing a true BHLM.
