It depends on both the carrier and the phone. Using my Blackberry, I can talk in the basement without my phone ever cutting out. My brother uses an iphone, and if he is upstairs the thing cuts out on him. We are both on the same network.

Unless you dress like a woman and wear painted on skinny jeans people need quit the comments about Galaxy phones not fitting in your pocket lol. Short of the larger Note ones its not remotely an issue.

I think it has less to do with the phone and more to do with the fact that you're in fucking Nunavut.

My wife got no reception on her iPhone 4 at work or home. Switch to a Galaxy S2 and got great reception at home and minimal reception at work. Problem is that with minimal reception at work the battery is killed by the end of the day because it keeps searching for a signal. I had her shut off roaming and it solved that issue. But she has to remember that roaming is off or not deal with that setting at all and just keep it plugged in when at work. So it was a give and take situation between the two phones. The S3 may have been a better option for her, but she didn't want a phone that big.

Which is why apple is filing frivolous patent suits over clearly non-patentable concepts like buttons.

Personally I've never liked their business practices, and Steve Jobs was an asshole. I try to keep my money away from companies like that. Plus the S3 is just the better product.

S3 isn't much bigger, and not thinner according to the specs...the iphone 5 is lighter but feels more solid state than the s3

Since blackberry pushed the release of os10, I have lost more of my confidence in them

Reception mostly depends on carrier, but the phone also plays a small part in that

Have her turn off any data (3G/4G) and that will save a ton of battery life. There are widgets you can download so all she has to do is tap the widget and data is off. You also have the option of bringing an extra battery if she wants with her S2

I'd buy an Asus phone too. I love my Asus Zenbook and usually use a fair amount of Asus components when I build towers.

All my components have either been Intel or ASUS. I've been building for a while now and no failed components & have roughly 15 towers under my belt.

I think that phone would be awesome. I have an atrix. I like the lapdock but t would have been nice if it had a tablet option as well.

I Phone are so over rated and suck. You can get so much more free with Droid phones.........Samsung Galaxy III S is an awesome phone, however I love my HTC Incredible 4G
