Unless he has some sort of a one way diverter or sometin, but I see what your saying, looks as though the air would just flow up instead of into the roots charger, I cant imagine somebody went through all this for it not to work, but stranger things have happened..

If this was the case the reverse flow of air would cause it to stall out and not run.

There have been a few to do that. One is an FJ or 4runner? I cannot quite remember. TRD S/C, and STS turbo.

The other I am aware of was an XRunner at APR. TRD S/C and a custom built rear mount by APR. Never finalized that build, on the engine or the tuning. Sadly. Would have been a beast for sure.

    Yea that would be sick.

I was gonna do a custom block with forged everything and TRD SC with all URD stuff then a custom rear turbo..Might still one day..but in a different truck haha

BAM! that is why turbos are better..8psi..just like a TRD SC..yet..86 more hp and like 100+ more torqure..oh and a cooler noise haha

Turbo-Lag your power is more mid to high range and supercharger is more instant power throughout lower end mostly. I'd go supercharger.

Your opinion might change if you saw that Prerunner lined up against an s/c prerunner. ;)

Incorrect, with today's technology and better understanding of turbo dynamics "turbo-lag" is a thing of the past. With the right trim A/R a turbo can spool and be at full boost in very low RPM's and hold that boost, all the while NOT sacrificing mechanical power to operate it which equals greater power and tq numbers on equal PSI S/C.

There have been a few to twin charge. At least one Tacoma or FJ in the UAE. It has a TRD and STS combo.
Then another here which has a TRD and custom rear mount by APR. That was Balboa's truck. Never was finish being tuned, nor finished having the engine fully rebuilt. Shame on that one.

Then there is the 2JZ swapped, 6 speed Taco....Turbo. ;)

BMW was toying with the idea of a twin charged M3 to replace the high-revving naturally aspirated engines they normally go with

man, that would have been interesting
