People also need to take into consideration comparing the Iphone to one of the low end Android devices does not make any sense. It's like comparing a lower end Mac to a high end PC or the other way around.

    iPhone.

It's a phone, not a computer. I don't care for all the capabilities that these Android phones have. If you need all those fancy shmancy doodads and the ability to "root" (whatever the fuck that means), then by all means, get Android. I'll take my easy to use, reliable iPhone. Plus it's easier to sync everything with my iMac since I use that for my photo editing. I have a cheap as shit Dell laptop for my "PC" needs (which aren't many).

    Galaxy Note gets my vote.

Fits my XL+ hands nicely and is a great replacement for my laptop when I am out running around.

    LOL!

After 30 years of buying tech gadgets (I am a self-professed uber geek with any tech gadget) I can say that I have never owned an Apple product.

None of their products have ever interested me enough to pull the trigger, they are just remakes of other companies ideas and/or products anyway.

I don't hate iApple stuff, I just choose not to buy it. There are better, more innovative products on the market.

Iphones and Androids are smartphones and have a lot more to them than just being a phone. Root is a linux/unix term that means giving the device full control of the phone's files and commands that were not accessible before. Android is based off of unix as well as Mac OS. There is a lot you can do after rooting your Android phone.

my point exactly. as soon as you buy one, next one is out, seems like just to compete with apple. at least you KNOW there will only be one iphone a year.

These are not good arguments. Having music available in a folder is not the same as the smooth and intuitive interface of iTunes. Yes - iTunes music can function on other platforms. It's not the same as iTunes. Maybe when Samsung's Easy Sync is in its 2nd or 3rd iteration it might be close enough to an iTunes emulating experience that it would work for me, but for now there's no comparison. I listen to podcasts constantly at work, and spend a good amount of time looking for and listening new music, as well as enjoying my extensive current collection. You're not arguing that Android has a better music platform (which means that you're at least rational) - only that Android can work with Apple's completely-market-dominating platform. That's a pretty weak stance when you're trying to argue Apple vs. Android.

I understand you're under pressure to have a counterpoint to every iPhone feature, but iTunes is a disruptive innovation, and no one else is even close. For that reason more than any other, I went iPhone.

thanks...don't think I can wait that long...also the reason I'm gonna ditch my blackberry. I was waiting for os 10 to come out but blackberry pushed the release until the new year. exactly when, i don't know

one of the features that I do like about my blackberry is the bbm...already integrated into the os...only problem is that most of my friends that were contacts on bbm have now moved on and either with apple or the android market.

Picked mine up about an hour ago. They didn't have and 32GB so they sold me a 64GB and then Telus gave me a $50 credit and Future Shop gave me a $50 gift card so the upgrade was free! I was surprised!!!

^Jealous! That's f'in sweet. Also, looks like this thread didn't help OP at all...currently tied at 72 haha

I voted for iPhone 5 simply because I am used to the iOS and I actually prefer the smaller size than to that of the SIII - fits in my hand better. I don't get why so many people have to bash the iPhone...

This isn't even true...everyone calls iPhone users sheep, but android users make up 59% compared to 23% iPhone. Your argument is invalid.

My god this thread still ? I'm sure the OP made his mind up already. Why these 2 phones anyway? The windows phone has a nice and sturdy OS just not as many apps.
