I chickened out on the 255/85R16's and bought a set of Dura-Tracs in 265/75R16 because my truck is just a couple months old and not wanting to cut on it this soon. But I can see myself in these tall narrow tires in a year or two.

I love the winter pictures of Tacos in the snow!

Man, this looks good! I rarely see a red Tacoma so nice change. Those tires look ready to work for you too, good choice all around!

    Curious......I didn't trim jack.

I'm on a 1" lift and barely rub anything when wheeling hard.

    TC UCA's with 2.7* caster
King 2.5's set to 4 threads of pre load on 700# springs (about 1" lift)
5.25 backspacing on 7" wide wheels
    NO spacers
    NO trimming

How much louder did they get with the siping?

This is how they should come from BFG. Molded sipes in the center tread area.

Problem is that the KM2 is a great rock crawling tire. Siping causes the lugs to chunk on the rocks much easier.

I havent found that to be the case at all.

My tires right after siping had not much change, but as they wore they are almost double in volume now though. Still can only really hear them with the windows open though.

I don't think the siping is what causes the increase in noise. I think its just the tire and it will be worse if you aren't good about rotating them regularly.

I got my 255-85-16s put on last night.

Front-slight rub in reverse when turning. I have 883s up front.

Back- Way to close for comfort. I have the 1.5" aal in the rear. I flexed over a curb and the rear tire was almost contacting the fender flare.

I know the best thing to do is get a new leaf pack that centers the rear axle. However, not sure I want to drop that much on a new leaf pack. Is there anything else I can do get some more clearance in the rear?

^ would an axle relocation plate fit your needs for the rear?

    This ^^^

You can get an axle relocation plate to adjust the axle forward or back. I think it cost around $30.

I'm gettin this size next week. If I run just the eibachs and no wheel spacers I won't rub The UCA right? Or should I just get spidertrax spacers now and then get eibachs later? I'm on stock rims too

I don't believe you will have issues with the UCA on a 1st gen. With stock backspacing you will probably rub the frame at full lock. I have a light rub mark on the frame with 16x8 wheels with 4" backspacing (probably from full stuff and lock).

Okay cool cause I'm either gonna order eibachs or spidertrax tonight. I believe I'll go with the eibachs

What's gears are you guys running? Would 4.10 with a v6 auto do well with these size tires?

If you plan on staying with a 33.4" tire a 4.10 ratio is nearly perfect for the V6 trucks that came stock with 30.5" tall tires and 3.73 gears. This will make your speedometer read correctly. If you want MORE pulling power then a lower gear (higher ratio) will be needed.
