That is a good point. They made it clear if you already have a 4S then there is nothing to be gained from buying the 5. So I'm not sure why they created the 5. I think better camera was all the news said the 5 had over the 4. I guess the creativity dies along with the creator, probably the beginning of the end...............

I just picked up my iphone 5.
Took me a good hour to get it to switch over to my unlimited data plan that came with iphone 4.

I almost forgot that it had siri. Me and her are getting to know each other. I started giving her commands and man I have to admit that iphone would not be the same without siri. When I got my 4 just couple of months before 4s came out it was a pill that was hard to swallow. All of my co-workers have siri but my 4 did not. Now she is all mine.

So far I launched map apps, navigation, set reminders, set alarm, launched various apps. Tomorrow I will try to dictate it.

Also I did not buy adapter... unfortunately... everyone is sold out... just like they were sold out from iphones. I managed to scoop one up after surviving 1.5 hour wait line in apple store. Went to 15 places before that.

I plan to start the sell back process on my 4 this weekend so I can recoup some of my losses.

$694 is a pill that is hard to swallow but it let me keep my unlimited data plan which is more cost efficient.

4g, bigger screens, dual core processors, 8 mega pixel cameras, etc.- all things Android phones have been doing for years. Sorry, but there's nothing the iPhone has to offer that hasn't already be done. The new iPhone doesn't even have NFC, what a joke :p

    Too many to list now.
A friend of mine was at a hacker conference in Switzerland where the speaker, using NFC equipped phones, hacked everyone's phone in the room, stole their credit card info, and turned each phone into a spambot. That is not a technology I'm ready to adopt anyhow. I'm glad my iPhone 5 doesn't have it.

and for some reason the iphone is still smoother than any android, how can that be if android has perfected everything long before the iphone ever even had it?

IP5 for the same reason why I got a Tacoma, resale value! A used S3 isn't going to be worth shit in a year where as the IP5 would be worth $300-400.

You're not a very tech savvy guy are you? All you talk about is "smoothness" and iTunes. Tell me about the how the iPhone 5 has 1GB of RAM and the GS3 has 2GB of RAM. Do some reading about the hardware specs of the two devices.

i consider myself to be somewhat tech savvy, RAM doesnt mean shit when the OS is still running un-necessary apps in the background clogging it up. even androids project butter cant be as smooth as IOS, and IOS comes from the factory underclocked... when most people are overclocking droids to get a better speed.... whatsupwidat? another plus, is apps made for the iphone are much better quality, and though some are shit and close right out when you click on them, you still dont get nearly as many force-closes as Android does. going back to what i said in a previous post, it HURTS android that it is made to run on POS phones, AS WELL AS high end phones... when iOS is only made to run on one phone that apple makes... not once have i bashed the GS 3, i would own either, and have owned plenty of droids, to include the eris and droid when they first became popular. the hitch really is about whats important to the user. is it important to have a phone you can root and run a million roms on and make do awesome things with some instabilities? then the GS 3 is for you. if its important for you to have a phone that is all around awesome, and works very well/easy to use as it is, gives you somewhat of an open source without letting you change the whole OS around, that syncs with itunes and doubles as an ipod, and that syncs with other apple devices/everything very easily, then the iphone is for you. in the end, they both do the same thing, and are both well produced/equipped phones. you know as well as i do, thats a very fair response.

and youre an idiot as the link you gave me lists them both with 1GB of RAM

I read the spec on both phones and both have 1GB of ram?? am I reading the specs wrong??? or does the GS3 come with 2GB only in some markets??

This is where I got the specs: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone2=4238

Do these guys have it wrong? Idk, that's why I'm asking

So those two sites show differences in the processors and RAM...the samsung site has the processor as a dual core and 2 GB of ram, while the GSMarena site has the processor as a quad core and 1GB of ram!?!?

you just can't really believe the internet these days!!

I have a separate savings account for truck stuff...unfortunately there isn't enough in there yet to get anything decent...like a lift kit, or wheels and tires.

I like to even things out when it comes to savings...a little goes in one account, etc etc etc...
