A little of this and a little of that.
I voted iPhone 5. I've had my 4S since March and it's worked flawlessly all over the world. This was my first Apple product. I was reluctant to buy into what I believed was an evil empire. If the 5 is better than the 4S, and I think it is, then it's one heck of a phone.

Umm.. I honestly have no idea what you are talking about mate. Every month my data usage is 7gb just in streaming music off Digitally Imported app. I also consume about 2gb of data when I watch videos on youtube.

Point of unlimited data is that it is what it is... unlimited. Granted they cap your bandwidth after 3gb like you say but I stream in 64kbps AAC which is waaaaaaaaaay below the bandwidth cap.

I picked up my iphone 4 last summer just a day before verizon quietly killed their unlimited data plan. I had to pay $175 cancellation fee on my old phone. In the end I was given a new phone and a new phone number.

Ohh and I am sporting a 18% employee discount because of my company benefit plan.

Can't go wrong with that hehehe.

Lol whatever helps you sleep at night...

The international version of the galaxy is quad core with 1mb of ram and no 4g. The US version is dual core with 2mb of ram and has 4g. I personally, would rather have quad core since I don't get 4g in my area.

I've had all the iPhones minus the 5 and love them. I have also had several droids and they were ok IMO. I like my apple products.

Oh, brother. Your "completely-market-dominating platform" concept applies only to a single-purpose product, while the ability to play MP3 music itself is almost omnipresent today. My computer will play MP3 music (all 4,800 music files), without iTunes. My truck's stereo will play MP3 music, without iTunes. My home stereo system will play MP3 music, without iTunes. My Android phone will play MP3 music, without iTunes. My wife's phone, with proprietary OS, will play MP3 music, again without iTunes. My MP3 player will play MP3 music, again without iTunes. In the end, iTunes is for those who don't seem to realize you don't need iTunes, or an expensive hardware product from Apple (like the iPhone), to play MP3 music.

the debate is stupid to get into. in north america both phones are relatively comparable. apple devices are designed to work fluidly with other apple devices. so if you have (and like) your apple products, chances are your going to be comfortable and happy with their phone.
that being said, seemingly the only differentiating factor is adjustablity. if you like apple's template for their operating system the phone will be what your familiar with. if you like to tinker with everything android may be right up your alley.
i personally have an android and basically use it almost in stock format with minor cosmetic changes to the desktop. at the end of the day either phone is pretty awesome and work great.

iphone 5 because i think it personally looks better and runs way smoother and faster than any android. I had a droid 1 and a droid x, both of them were slow, laggy, and choppy. So is all my friends androids. Switched to an iphone 4 and its so much better. Now i have a 4s, and i havent had a problem with either of my iphones
