Yeah - I would get black again. I didn't really pick out black when I bought the truck new. The dealership I bought the truck from offered me a price I accepted - but said they didn't have any DCSB Sports in stock and would have to trade with another dealer to get one. So they asked me to give them a few colors I would accept and I said silver, magnetic gray, and black. They found a black one the next day. I think I would have been perfectly happy with either of the other two colors as well - but after having the black I have realized I do prefer it. Its a Sport so it has the matching black grill surround, black rear bumper, etc... - and I also like how all the door handles, window trim, etc... all match the black color. I wash my truck pretty frequently - at least a couple times a month when the weather allows - but I don;t worry about it too much when it looks dirty. For the most part automatic car washes are pretty useless with a black vehicle - leaves lots of spots. But there is one carwash at a gas station near my work that uses a no-spot rinse that actually works pretty well. I've been through it a few times and after letting the truck dry during the ride home - there are hardly any spots.

So, as of this morning the vote is EXACTLY 50/50. Kinda funny, but not very helpful.

Truthfully though, it served its purpose. Black looks amazing when clean, but I'm going with MGM this time. It also looks amazing when clean, but it is not quite as hard to keep clean, and doesn't look so neglected when it is dirty. No offense to the black trucks out there, I'll still be jelly when I see a nice detailed one. :p

I love my truck in black. I originally wanted it in blue, but i fell in love with the black baja a saw at the dealership. Now that I have a black truck, everything thats on the truck needs to be black except for the few trim pieces that are either chrome or red. Since I have the Baja edition, I am slowly converting some trim items from chrome to either black or red.

When my truck gets dirty, I enjoy going out and giving it a good wash. I love how everything shines in the sunlight after a good wash. I especially love watching my wife wash the truck when it gets dirty.

All the poll choices are negative. It's definately not an endless effort. Black is an awesome color and keeping it clean is the same as any other vehicle I've ever had. Washing your favorite vehicle, regardless of its color, is a labor of love! ;)

I had an '03 (Black Extra Cab). And this time and Access Cab and I drove 2 hours and 15 minutes one way to buy a '12 Black Tacoma in Aug. '12. No doubt, I will only buy black and keep it looking good.

Absolutely I would own a black truck again.

I dunno, I don't mind the dirt I guess. I do wash it every now and then, and hose out the salt regularly in the winter, but not any more than other color vehicles I've owned. :notsure:
