U can't spot reduce sir. The solution is to diet properly and, if you aren't already train the lower abdominal a few times a week.

Does anyone have a link to a site with a good workout schedule? I'm looking to lose weight and gain endurance/strength. I just got a year membership to a local gym for $45. Got to love Groupons sometimes.

shit, I forgot the question I posted in here awhile back.... I'll look to see who answered

    on another note...

there were a bunch of wannabe-looking UFC guys on the benches today....wearing gasmasks
anyone seen shit like this before? I'm gonna assume they use it to restrict breathing for cardio but what the fuck?

My friend that fights MMA will wear a scuba mask while shadow boxing or hitting a light bag to help increase his breathing control he say's, so they may have been doing something like that but it's stupid to do when lifting.

we used to do bag drills with water in our mouths, or breathing through a large straw

but gasmasks... I feel like that old guy that's all "What the fuck's an iPod?"

these guys were wearing them all over the gym, I didn't see them do any cardio with them on...

shit, I went to change my shirts after I was done and there were a few wearing them in the locker room (though, that may have been the only appropriate place for them)

I was under the impression that the masks were to simulate training at altitude.

    Less oxygen.

Bodybuilding.com has plenty of workout plans. Keep in mind though, everybody responds differently to different sets, reps, exercises. You just have to find what works best for you.

When I was still in we used to run in gas masks. If I ever come across one Ill be picking it up. Great training tool.

there's a time and place for using a gas mask as a training tool. those guys were just being tools and looking for attention

while i was still in we used to run with a gas mask, or we would run while wearing our dive mask and breathing through a snorkel

Ive been hearing that a lot lately. And i think my body responds best to heavy weight, 5 sets, and longer rest time.

when i do HIIT training i dont see much results...

is this what youre referring to?

HIIT is best for endurance, and fat burning, IMO.

What I was saying is, some may respond better to low volume training, while others may resold better to high volume training. In other words, I know for legs, I respond better to the rep range of 12-20, opposed to 6-8 like some may.

not sure what your goals are or what you plan to do with your fitness, but i feel the power bodybuilding routine on BB.com is a great program in tems of a traditional weight training program. it can easily be tailor to anybody's needs or fitness level and it's simple to execute

check it out. it's a great program that will help you pack on some size, but will also build pure strength and a functional type of fitness. combine the program with some cardio, functional training, & a solid diet and you'll be off to a great start

be sure to focus more on quality on not quantity in your weight lifting, especially with the olympic moves

I've been looking for a new program myself. I'm on the 5th week of strong lifts and find myself wanting to do another program.

This Mike Ohearn program has a 6/10 rating. That's kind of discouraging... Do you know of any other good programs?

Edit: after watching all the videos it actually looks like a good program that would suit me. Lol I think I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks

    Critiques on my back....

I think my back is off. Lol looking at my pictures it looks weird. I've even been told I do push ups with one shoulder lower than the other.
