I run FOA shocks... Extremely good price but sometimes there's a reason. Mine took abuse, no bump stops and no limit straps. I know I bottomed the shock out over 100s of times. I sent them in for a rebuild and lengthen last week and they didn't even charge me any labor. Extremely good customer service. Go FOA :D

They're comparable in price to the billies, 'inexpensive' compared to most other decent shocks out there.

Yea, seems like they are alright. The real LT guys don't seem to love them(the CO). Looks like lots of ppl have rear shocks tho..

I'm not too sure on their CO's but from what I saw on my buddies 14" CO vs his ballistic fab 16" CO... The ballistic fab CO blew it out of the water in quality. But twice the price pretty much...

Thanks for the recommendation, Eric. Those foa shocks look nice! If I was going with my original plan of 63" chevies, creeper joins and a 70 degree / \ shock set-up, I'd jump on those 14"ers!!!... buuut Unfortunately, I've decided to just stick with the stock mounting points and even the foa 2.0 12" collapsed length is barely too big at 18.3". (I need under 18") So I'm probably just going to go with Bilstien again and the 11.94" shocks... They've got a collapsed length of 17.91".... Do you guys think that's enough since I measured 18"? I think I read somewhere that your supposed to leave about .5" extra travel just in case... :notsure:

How did you get your measurements? You should be flexing it out on the trail to get a true measurement. Forklift measurements are different than the real thing.

You're right, I originally tried getting the measurements with the lift we have at work, but I was getting no where near enough compression and was still about 2" from the bumpstops.

So, I went out to the trail (45 min away) and found some very nice spots for flexing, there. And the measurements I got were from that. I got 18" eye-to-eye with the bumpstop fully on the leafpack. The expos had a slightl negative arch... I'd post the pics I got, but my computer wont let me, for some retarded reason.

I'd recommend at least .5" of shaft showing, maybe .25". It's hard to say truly if your bump stop will compress more if you take a hard hit rather than a soft hit.

Finally got the pictures up from when I flexed out the rear after re-locating the rear shackle mount... I wasn't getting as much droop as a could have, since I had re-installed the shackles wrong and they were binding up too much. I have since re-installing them correctly but only got a couple more inches. I'm going to have to get creeper joint shackle hangers from TG or somewhere if I'm going to get full droop. (Plus the all-poos are kinda stiff!) The e-brake cable also limits my droop somewhat as well. Even after unbolting the bracket on the gas tank and flatting some sections on the gas tank, the e-brake line still goes taught when the left tire drops to far. =\
