    I'm getting Helo Maxx 18x9 4.5" backspacing (-12mm offset) - with 2 " lift.

Scratch that...(Will I need to trim with 265/70r18 Grabber AT2 tires?)

New Tire - will 275/65r18 BFG T/A KO fit better? (32")

I'll post pics once I'm done - I want to order tires tonight so I can get them ASAP :)

I'm ok with minor trimming, but my other option is to go with 265/65r18, but I dont think grabbers are available in that size...actually theyre on backorder almost everywhere at 70 height. I'd rather not do that since that's only a 31.5" tire though.

I had to trim with 275/65/18s and 1.75" of lift.

I was hoping you'd answer. I had been following your threads for a while trying to see what your experience was! haha.

What did you trim, and how much? Do you think the rubbing was caused by the width, or just the height of the tire (32")?

I was originally looking at 275/65r18, but decided not to for various reasons (price, load range E which I dont need, no white raised letters that I want, etc.).

It was definately caused by the height, not the width. People have fit 285/60/18 on stock suspension, because its a 31.5".

I had to trim the little pieces of the fender well that hang down past the bumper. There are pics in my build thread

Is this the rubbing you were talking about? Or did you trim the fender too?

Yep that's all I trimmed. I don't flex the suspension all that much though

Man, by looking at your photo, it looks like I wouldnt even come close with 32.5" tires.

I'm not sure what the black thing is (inner fender maybe?) But if you increased your wheel diameter by 1.5" from stock (30.5" to 32"), therefore 0.75" in radius from stock and you have 1.75" of lift, how the heck do you only have this much room? You should have been rubbing with stock tires! Wheel backspacing, etc. shouldnt have that much effect on this unless your wheel is locked to one side.

BTW - i won't be flexing, haha. Truck is a road queen. If i'm off-road its because I'm lost. Offroading can wait until I'm over 100k miles.

OK new question - will 32" tires (275/65r18) fit better? (KPT ran this tire - should work, right?)

    Soon! 1 month!
I'm researching the Hankook Dynopro MT in 275/65/18, just saw them yesterday for the first time at Target on a jeep. They look MEAN!!!! I'm in the same boat you are trying to figure out what tire... I have a 2012 DCSB MGM V6 that I'm about to start modding up. Really want 285 but like the 275 option better... It's to bad only a few companies make this 275 size...

Exact same truck that I have, haha. you'll love it. :D

A few companys make 275's gotta know where to look.

    Tires at 275/65r18 are:
    BFGoodrich T/A KO
    General Grabber AT2
Etc... Look it up at TireRack.com

I love the tread pattern on the BFG and Grabbers, especially when your tires stick outside of the fenders a bit, you get to see the tread pattern. Sexy.

You looking to get new wheels/leveling or lift kit?

I see I see. Well I'm ok with doing the 'random black thing chop mod' but I'm not cool with a cab mount chop. Think that'll be necessary with 2" level and 275/65r18 (32.1")?
