    I'm not sure what the difference is either. If it boosts the signal, it should work for any wifi.

    I would try plugging it in in the garage and see how the signal is. You may need to move it closer to your access point if that doesn't work

    I have rock pics too...they should be downloaded in an other hour or so... :playball:

    WY was good...smokey :( and NO mooses :(:(:(:(:( I always see mooses there! ALWAYS! But this time none... :pout:
    I did get serenaded to sleep Friday night by 2 elk bugling...although after about 5 or 6 hours of it it was rather irritating. Then I woke up Saturday morning to this odd "whoo-OOP, whoo-OOP" noise in my camp. I poked my head out of my tent to see that my campsite had been invaded by about a dozen willow ptarmigan :laugh:

    If you're going to be getting something like the one you're looking at, the way it works is it picks up the existing wifi and basically re-transmits it. So if you put it in the garage it can only work as good as the signal is in there, which sounds like it's not that great. Ideally, you'd put one of these between the existing router and shop that way it still gets good signal being closer, and your shop is now 'closer' to the wifi.
