Thanks for that OZ...I'm mostly not saying because I find the banter between members funny

I'm going with the iPhone...some of it is because the phone feels better, my siblings and parents all have iPhone (except one brother)...much better for syncing kids and wife's schedules...I have a mac (apple computer) at home, there's other considerations but those are the main points.

I just want to thank everyone for all your input, opinion and arguments...it was definitely entertaining and it helped me realize that 50% of the features on each phone definitely wouldn't be used...I also wouldn't do any "rooting" or customization of the phone, so I think that the iPhone would be easy and simple enough to use

LOL. Your Tandy 1000 likely came a whomping 128kB of memory (later models came standard with a bit more). Of course, you could buy expensive expansion cards to increased that to a grand total of 640kB.

 

Said well man! My android does get alittle laggy (low memory) I use a app killer usually, my phone is not the easiest to root so I've yet to do that which would help me control it better I think for the memory thing. I love my Android, I would hate the iPhone simply because I don't use Apple products anymore and really have no use for them, to each his own! If I was some avid iTunes user and had other Apple products then I would go with iPhone, simply put the last Apple product I used was this:

My first computer was an Apple II. Later bought a IIe and IIc. Eventually switched to Mac Plus, followed by Quadra 6300 and Powerbook G3. Of course, had some experience with other computers over that time period (IBM, Tandy, Commodore, Atari, Osborne, S-100 & CP/M, Nixdorf/Siemens, etc) Now use PC's exclusively. Wife still has an iMac (dead), stored in the backroom. She also now uses PC's exclusively.

 

I just bought the S3 yesterday. It is badass! Insanely fast! Has tons of features.

 

How does knowing the atmospheric pressure help? Impending weather changes? Why would that be specific to a truck?

 

I voted Samsung. I personally don't like the "you'll like what we tell you to like"mentality of Apple. there are more options and customizations on the Android OS.

GPS receivers sometimes integrate a barometer, in order to get more accurate altitude readings. The error margin for the Z-axis with GPS is quite high, but combined with atmospheric pressure readings from a barometer, the accuracy can be increased dramatically.
