    Traction bar. URD use to make one for the prerunners, but not anymore. I have a few friends with the urd one on their xr's, and it makes a huge difference. If it wasn't so damn expensive I'd have one lol.

    Didnt you get the TSB leaf from a Tundra? I think I remember seeing that on your build thread.

    the 10 leaf Deaver pack took all the axle wrap away, I got them cuz I couldn't do the TSB

    Well, it is one for a tundra, but that was only because it was the best fitting option that Wheelers had in stock to give me. I had to cut a tad off one end for it to fit. Anyways, i'm reasonably sure that its pretty much the same leaf, it would just lift the back of the Tacoma say 2" where it would lift the tundra 1.5".:cool:

    I have the Toytec AAL. Still have axle wrap. Pro Comp makes a trac bar. Go to 4wheelparts.com They have the bars and then you have to get the brackets too. Im going to get the OME Dakar leafs to fix my wrap, if that doesn't work, getting those trac bars and a Tom Woods dive shaft for a diff prob. Best of luck!

    try a set of the toytec axle shims.....easy install and should get rid of the takeoff vibe

    Don't brake pretty hard and accelerate right after. It's not good for your gas mileage and if it induces axle wrap but isn't necessary (and I'm going to say there is a pretty limited number of cases where you should do that) just not doing it fixes the problem.

    An AAL is a good place to start traction bars is a bit extreme imo for a more or less stock ride to fix occasional wrap...

    A good AAL or stiffer leaf pak will help. Other than that..... it's just normal.

    Agreed, the only cases I've seen where traction bars (ladder bars) are truly necessary are on spring-over type lifts with weaker spring packs designed for maximum flexibility. Less skinny pedal tends to be the best solution and it doesn't cost you a thing :thumbsup:

    I dont do it all the time. Some moron pulled out infront of me and then I was trying to get up to speed again.

    I will do the AAL. I wasn't planning on spending alot of money on this problem.

    I mean I dont mind it... Its only happened a few times. If I would get an AAL it would stop the axel wrap and lift my truck :thumbsup:

    An AAL will do that...but you'll still get axle wrap if you load the drive line up like that. No reason to hard accel out of the hole if you need to stop short...unless someone is about to hit you from behind- and then fuck axle wrap...I'll be JAMMIN on the skinny pedal.

    You can feel it.... he rear wheels can "hop" as the springs load and unload. You can hear a clunking sound sometimes too...

    Ok cool, I was just wondering because sometime if I have to break hard with the manual tranny I will push in the clutch then reassess which gear i need. If I ever do it too quickly I lurch the truck by accident, so i was just wondering!
