Saturday I bought a brand new 2013 Sport access cab. Loving the truck, hating the dealer. Besides low-balling me on the trade in  they also wouldn't do one single thing to sweeten the deal for me. To be fair, they did locate the exact truck/color that I wanted and brought it in for me, but that's where the service ended. Every question I asked I would get a frustrated look, a few grunts and an "I don't know, that's just how it is"

For example, I asked why every Sport on the lot had wheel locks except mine...."er, er...I don't know, some do some don't" I mean really, would it hurt to say "Here's a set of wheel locks on us"??

The biggest thing for me though was that one year ago when I brought in my 2010 Tacoma to get the rear TSB done I asked if they would mind putting in my 5100s since they were replacing the front shocks anyway. No problem at all, and no charge either. The service dept. has always been great there. But when I asked if they could throw this service in as an incentive for me spending $31,000 they stonewalled me. Said they don't do aftermarket anything anymore, and no way would they do it.

At this point I said, I want the truck, but I also want you to know that I will be filling out the customer satisfaction survey. The guy looks at me with shock and says "Why? Is there something you're not happy with?" Derp! I said, yeah, the things we just discussed that you refuse to offer me. He said "Let me talk to the manager again, but meanwhile you can go into the finance office to fill out those forms" and that was the last I heard of it.

So today, I called Toyota HQ and told them my tale of woe, and I have a feeling the dealer will be calling me shortly with a better attitude....but we'll see.

Well, not many pics yet since the mods are all in the mail still for the most part, but here's a few from my other thread:

Took the Muth mirrors and Highlander switch out of my 2010 before I traded it in and reinstalled them Sunday. :D

You may be right, and to be honest I'm not sure how comfortable I would be at this point having them install the billies. It's like being rude to a waiter, you don't do it and expect your food to be treated well back in the kitchen, right?

But I am glad to hold the dealers feet to the fire so maybe the next time they will bend a little for the customer after me.

My local dealer is the same if not worse, the service department is awesome and the sales department is a total nightmare. I will not be buying another vehicle from them!

my dealer jumped through their asses to make my deal happen, they were awesome, and i def feel like i got a fantastic deal on my truck...

that said... dont fret about the wheels locks, they suck. no one wants your stock wheels :)

i hate my wheels locks and would love to delete them. you can have my 2012 locking lugs if you send me 4 of your lugs :)

I'm sure there are different average prices nation wide and from the look of it, your driving a TRD Sport but if you paid 31 for an access cab I think you have every right to go back and punch those guys in the balls.
I know a few dealers I talked to tried to strong arm me when I told them I wasn't going to pay over 30k for the truck. They looked at me like I was smoking crack.
I just bought a DC 2013 4x4 TSS Edition for 29 flat, that included an extended warranty. But my dealership literally busted ass to get my business. I had three of them chasing each others tails. Ended up having to drive 2 hours out for it, but the dealership even sent me to a steakhouse on them for the drive.

I ran into a similar situation when buying mine. Ended up driving a little over an hour to another dealership for customer service. Got a much better deal (over $3K OTD if you can believe it) and experience.

To be honest, after my original Pyrite I never felt the same about that gray one. I sold it 6 months later.
But as you said, I now have a great Barcelona and I'm loving it. All's well that ends well I guess.
