Well TW has been a great sight and the Taco was a great truck. Have no bad issues with the Taco and nothing bad to say about it. I can say the new Frontier has a solid box frame, steel bed, steel fenders that are round like the tires, a solid clutch and a 4x4 switch that works every time. The tailgate dont bow when two grown men sit on it and it feels solid as steel. I messed up and parked my Taco beside a dadgum Frontier then took the time to compare wow is all I could say what a different truck. I haul a slide in camper as well as pull a 17ft boat and that c channel frame alone beside that box frame was enough to make me trade. I still think the 4 cly taco motor is the best their is but the heads weeping on the V6 is a little nerve racking. Also their is a lot more to the truck than just the motor. I was worried about that c frame bending with a full load and the box frame removed that worry. Hope to see you guys out on the trail.

Its a good thing you traded before the frame and the bed failed as have happened so frequently with these trucks.

    Oh, never mind it hasn't.

You could have got an access cab or dbl cab V6 to tow with ...and I've never had the cab and the bed touch. Have fun getting mud out of that frame to prevent rust as well.

so you are saying the Tacoma C-channel frame flexs less than the Frontier boxed frame.

Fully boxed or not the Frontier has less crossmembers then the Tacoma reducing the torsional ridgity of the frame. Have you looked underneath the Frontier? Cause I have and all the components of the Frontier are mediocre. It uses thinner steel, smaller cab mounts, tiny rivets, and the width and height of the frame rails are smaller. IMO you my friend have made a mistake. Goodluck :)

I am, like I posted its all about crossmembers, most heavyduty applications in the industry uses c-channel frames with alot of crossmembers. You can have solid steel frame rails but if you lack crossmembers the frame aint shit
