I've never owned a car(minus the 69 stang but that was more of a project and was short lived).. so I dont know what its like. Maybe im more of a car guy. Specifically.. an sti. lol

Talk me out of it.. pros and cons.. I'm still seriously playing with the Idea.

    Sti

    Pros- fun to drive, power.

Cons- never satisfied with mods (just like our trucks), tickets.

My brother has an 05 Sti with under 60k miles and that thing is fun to drive!

STI pros: fast, fun, decently comfy for 4. Boost out of the box, handling, if you stay out of extreme performance... cheaper moding.

Truck pros. Still pretty quick, hauling, towing, utility, looks moar badass, more useful day to day, about the same interior comfort, 4x4 goes everywhere you shouldn't, awesome community, your truck is already modded badass. Toyota reliability especially with no boost. Camping is easier in harder spots, ect. The ability to pick stuff up on craigslist... ect.

pros-fun to drive, looks sexy, and power

cons-If you get one you will never stop moding it and no matter what you do there will always be a better faster EVO, with power comes speed and with speed comes tickets, you cant take an sti to the dunes or crawl it up an awesome trail or prerun it, and most important they are expensive as all hell.

Hahahaha.. these are all good pros and cons.. dammit! Lol

I've always said too.. that a truck can go everywhere a car can, plus more. It is more practical but a nice, fun, fast car would be pretty sweet too. Lol

Honestly.. ill probably end up keeping the truck.. its just when I have these issues i get fed up and want to go another route. It will always be in the cards tho.

if you want a fast car you can do one of two things. supercharge or turbo your tacoma.

This is also true. Honestly.. its more of the comfort and quality. My biggest issue with the tacomas ever since my 2001 back in 05.. was the fit and finish. As most of you have seen, my truck usually stays pretty clean.. I like clean, organized, comfortable, etc.

The wrx I test drove was all of that. But.. I'm sure I would find flaws in it as well.. no bed, can't go wheelin (even tho I have cut back on that), etc.

I'm not selling my truck! Or even thinking about it. I've had cars my entire life. Low, fast cars. Never once had a trunk in any car I owned as it was full of stereo equipment. It's fun but when you need to run a load to the dump, you can't. Need to pick up salt for the water softner, not in my Type-R you can't.

Now I can go camping. Take stuff to the dump. I'm not limited anymore and its a great feeling.

My only complaint about having a truck, is they are slow and can't handle worth a shit. Even super charged they are still slow. I haven't been in a turbo setup yet.

And that's why I got this to satisfy the speed daemon in me. :D
