    No.

    Technical Service Bulletin

It's the acronym used when talking about the 'free' upgrade from a 3-leaf rear to a 4-leaf rear by Toyota if you request it & give the right reasons. Plenty of info to be found in a search on this since it's off topic.

Back on topic: my squeak after having the TSB performed ended up being a dealer install error & has been repaired so I'm outta here!

Sooo the fuel tank straps i used for the fix started squeaking last week.

Now... I'm +1 for the toyota bushings..

Picked them up from the local Toyota dealer and installed them today. This is a beginner skill level job.

    Tools:
    1) Rubber mallet
    2) Pickle fork
    3) Flat head screw driver
    4) Floor jack

    1346190099_da9928330b0e933b5e21fc128c2d0c0ff8b00e6c.jpg

No need to remove the tires, bushings are easily accessible without removing them. (I removed mine to check the brakes while i was back there )

I started on the driver side rear bushing first.. as you can see driving the pickle fork in gives plenty of room to retrieve the original plastic bushing and insert the new rubber piece

    1346188762_6d5de0d1d45523cb6a0b532ef05d04934392666f.jpg

here's a comparison old vs new

    1346188765_d07cd314aaf6c7d1df419f1299428b77e0d3799b.jpg

new bushing in.. it went right in using the flat head screw driver to push it into place. As tempting as it looks, don't try to stick a finger in there

    1346188793_7eae9ad1fce31431f34dd8ad1b0629b81744f354.jpg

Then i moved onto the front..

    1346188990_47cefe187a4666c6bb3dca3daccb0975f38b4506.jpg

    new one in..

    1346188993_95a80daf9e6915f1cd778d32f7fa6805e4a839c4.jpg

Repeat for the other side and that's it, no more annoying squeaky leafs :D

Took me about 5 minutes for each side including lifting the truck.. cake.

    You are a saint!

Quick Question: Do you know if this spacer kit is the same thing that you installed? http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/toyota~spacer~kit~service~04001-28104.html

my springs are getting really bad, so I stopped by my Stealership for a quote on the part listed in the first post. $22 online and $67 at the dealer! I need 2 packages so $134 for some plastic!

Needless to say, I did not buy it. I'll either put something else in there or buy online.

Just another joy of living in Canada, everything gets tripled in price.
