Thanks, the original grease in the smittybilt winches is so shitty... almost takes two people to free spool the line:rolleyes:

Sounds like NwiTACO's winch haha. His takes another winch to free spool his winch. :D

If you get the Schaeffer grease, it is VERY STICKY, just so you know. Synthetic grease usually is I believe.

So, I like to double post because I am teh shit...

I got some work done today again, not as much as I wanted, but good enough.

My mini spool showed up so it was time to tear apart the carrier and remove the broken powertrax No-slip.

    Pins and shit yo

All emptied! Time for the mini spool which I have no photos of...

Carrier back together, ring gear bolted on and torqued down!

Carrier put back into the 3rd! torqued down and stuff

And yep.. Installed it, put my axle shafts back in, new retainer plates on (which work great btw) and put the tires back on.

Tomorrow should entail more fun stuff :D Stay tuned

So I found a spare last night!!!! Picked it up today for $170. Beadlocked, ford bolt pattern, brand new TSL/SX. 36x12.5x15. Haven't measured it yet, but I put it next to the creepy and it was taller, but I assume the TSL is at 30 PSI, creepy at 8 Psi.

    PICS :D

Crappy night time pics, sorry guys.

It isn't as good as your TWO spares, but it'll help convert weight over the rear end. There is just too much weight up front

I think so myself, glad I am not the only one :)

lol I work at a tire shop dude... tires and rims are easy to come by for me... Either very cheap or free.

But my spares are also old all-terrains on steel rims! Not an awesome TSL on a beadlocked rim. And I agree, good price!

    Well did some work today...

Got some 7/16" eye bolts to bolt down my spare tire with my 3-way strap.

I moved my breather up so it was out of the way of the new shock location. I put a bolt back into the old hole with gasket sealer so no leaks.

For the new location I drilled a hole, welded a nut to it and put the breather back in. I gasket sealed it as well incase any leaks appeared.

It'll do, good enough for me.

I also went to test all my solenoids on my winch to replace the defective one. They all ohmed out just fine and close just fine though... The winch works to go in, but not out. Free spool works of course. The controller works because it closes the solenoids both in and out, motor can't be bad since it works for going in....

I like the tailgate... it looks better, more complete. Without it, it looks like you just ran out of tubing or you didn't finish it.

Looks good either way, IMO. Probably easier to deal with without the tailgate thing. Got pics of the new shock setup? Or are they still getting worked on?

No shocks yet... they shipped last Thursday so I'm assuming today or really soon... :notsure:

When I get better pictures of the truck I'll see if I keep the tail gate. I don't have anywhere for my trasharoo without it now...
