    E rated Falken Rocky Mountain ATS in 265/75/16, but I tow 90% of the time with my truck. The E rated tires handle and ride great, no road noise, well not that I could tell over the sound from my 14" Magnaflow...lol

    Sorry but this is an ignorant comment. I can guarantee I haul, load, and go over more unforgiving terrain than the 95% of all Tacoma owners and my P-rated all terrain tires have been great. Here is where I go on a weekly basis and have yet to damage a tire.

    Ya I didnt think everyone would be using the E rated tires. Thats overkill IMO for sure when you consider the weight and price. But Im sure having a solid sidewall is nice too

    ya thats a problem Im seeing now. I really want to get Dueler at revos but they come in P and the D or E. I really want C but might settle with P. The 285/70/17 P rated tires are the same weight as the C rated 265/70/17 BFG ats I have now so I would be happy

    If you only take your truck through rain puddles like other "light truck" owners, get the highway C load, if you want some serious durability, and better off road handling get E. Where I come from malapais can have your crap tire looking like shredded beef in no time.

    This is an unnecessary generalization. I assure you that load range C tires can handle more than "rain puddles". What, are you a rep for a 10 ply tire manufacturer or something?

    I was in the Dos Cabezas deer hunting a few years ago and got stranded because of torn sidewalls. It was a LONG walk over 2 days. Unfortunatly theres not a tire thats great both on and off road,IMO. IF you want to do serious off road driving, get an off road tire, if you are just sticking with mud and no rock or anything abrasive I think the C load is fine. Personally, I have a set of Baja Claws AND a set of less aggressive tires. The cost to replace both sucks, but I think each tire wears longer and better.
