Its easier on the knees and back. Its also supposed to help strengthen the lower legs and feet. There's also some statistics out there showing the rate of injuries before and after shoes became advanced. It does make you a bit slower though.

For those of you that do standing barbell overhead press...

    1) do you bring the bar down to the chin? Or arms parallel to the ground? Cause my arms parallel to the ground is at my nose.

    2) do you guys put a foot behind and a foot in front or is your stance shoulder width apart?

    In my sig
    1) I change it up all the time. Most of time, I bring it down to my upper chest/neck area.

    2) Feet even and shoulder width apart.

I didnt think I would at first either. I went to try them on and it was weird. !0 minutes into my first workout with them and I didnt even notice the toe thing. Now it just feels natural and awesome to wear them.

I bring the bar to my chest, just like a thruster. In fact sometimes once my shoulders get tired I start doing thrusters to get the bar up. Feet are in my squat/deadlift/any standing lift position.

Try not to bring the bar too far down as it puts unnecessary stress on the shoulders.

After my full set of military presses, I cut the weight in half and do 21's. 7 in front, 7 to the top of my head and 7 behind the head.

I either sit or I stand with feet shoulder width apart. When you stand, make sure you tighten all your muscles simultaneously as it creates more power for the lift.

You're worried about stress on the shoulders but you do behind the neck movement?

Funny thing I know, I use lighter weight for behind the head and it really doesn't affect me! All my sets aren't behind the head either, just that one set of 7.

Well this is the heaviest ive pushed up with over head press. (115lbs) using the strong lifts program. And just bringing it down to my nose was bothersome on my left shoulder. Is that my limit?
