As long as both are in moderation, no worries.

Up here, if you're caught drunk and carrying, you're in pretty serious legal trouble.

Lol, no, I was responding to the previous post about getting drunk and shooting skeet. Up here, if you're drunk and have a firearm, you're f'd. Personally, I see nothing wrong with having a cold one while cracking off a few rounds. Like I said before, it's fine if done in moderation.

I did try the froglube for the first time last weekend. I worked we'll for one class. Not enough usage yet to give good feedback but so far I'm happy.

That's anywhere since if you get a dwi, dui or have any type of drug on you as well as a firearm it is a automatic felony

    drugs yes...being drunk no..../\

in GA you can drink and carry and be drunk you can shoot drunk unless in defense of life...bars are legal to carry at as long as you have permission but places like applebees bars etc are 100% legal because they are a restaurant

I'm pretty sure this is state-specific. In MA, it's a felony but it's not as cut and dry as DUI laws. There's no 'if you blow over .08 then you can't have your fire arm'. It is legal to have a firearm on you and be drinking and you can bring your firearm into a bar unless the bar itself has a rule against it. The only way you'll likely end up getting nabbed for it is if you're drunk and caught doing something else stupid, then they notice you have a firearm on you (like pulled over for DUI for example). It's a vague regulation so in MA, if you're going to get torn up, leave the guns locked up. We have some really weird laws and regulations in MA that, as far as I know, don't exist anywhere else, not even CA.

That is similar to SC. You can have a gun when drinking but can't discharge it unless in defense of life.

in TX you cannot even have a sip of alcohol while carrying. I dont know why anyone would want to anyways? If you are carrying you should be at 100% mental focus.

In Illinois you can't say the word gun while drinking without getting arrested, and since we have no ccw at all that rules out everything else. Good thing I live on the border with Indiana. I work, shop, hang out on that side most of the time and have an Indiana ccw. Although I'm supposed to stop before crossing the border to secure my firearms in a way pleasing to Mother Illinois.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
SC and NC both restrict carrying into a place that serves any alcohol to be consumed on the premises....BLOWS!!! Not that I would want to carry and drink, but having to disarm just to eat at BWW or the like.

the old law here was something along the lines of "if 51% or more of their revenue was alcohol, no CCW" (or at least that's how it was interpreted and implemented) but now you can CCW in any place defined as a restaurant:
    (14) "Restaurant" Means Any Public or Private Place:
    (A) (i) Kept, used, maintained, advertised, and held out to the public or to a private or restricted
membership as a place where complete meals are served and where complete meals are actually and
regularly served, without sleeping accommodations, such a place being provided with adequate and sanitary
kitchen and dining equipment and a seating capacity of at least fifty (50) people and having employed therein
a sufficient number and kind of employees to prepare, cook, and serve suitable food for its guests or
    members.
(ii) At least one (1) meal per day shall be served, and the place shall be open a minimum of five (5)
days per week, with the exception of holidays, vacations, and periods of redecorating; or

ours is the 51% rule for "on site consumption". bars = off limits, applebees = good to go. You can even carry in liquor stores bc you cant consume on site there.
