Interesting. If you do another one with this method post back your results. Otherwise if I get the time to try this before you post I will come back with my findings.

Sorry, I meant dual led's for each location (2H - 4H - 4L) which would be a total of 6. Boy I hate it when people cant read my mind!

I don't think I would want to use dual led's... Would be too bright I think. It is all about the placement of the led's to be directly behind the area that you want to illuminate... Also I used 30 degree viewing angle led's because there was about 1/2" of stand off
and the cast of light was perfect... One thing you can do if the cast of light on what your trying to light up is to sharp/concentrated is to simply cut the curved top off of the plastic resin case of the LED with a metal file or some rough sandpaper. As long as you don't cut too close to the diode, your LED will function just fine, and instead of a sharp beam, there'll be more of a spray of light.

I think that you and I have had several of those moments... I always find it funny when people ask me "how do you know how to do that?" My answer is always... I don't know, I just do... And "where did you learn to do that?" Again... I don't know,
i just do. Electricity is something I have always liked and just pick things up threw the years.. and always learning.

    Thank you!

Just drop your truck off and take mine for a day or two... or bring a case of beer and hang out one day.

You just wait to see what i have in store for my next project! just waiting on a part to be made in china so that i can do the whole thing... I think that i am going to do the first part today/ this weekend. It is going to Awesome!

I am also in contact with my old boss back in Phx Az to see if i can order a large reel of waterproof ribbon LED (thinking 3000 led's/160 feet or 6000/320') and making a group buy on my project. But before i do i would like to see some interest in it. With buying in huge bulk like that it should cut the cost in half for what i am doing and would pass that along to all of you!

If anyone that reads this thread likes led lighting sub this thread or send me a PM and i will let you all know / post up on here when it is done.
Thinking that i will offer install of it as well as make a DIY kit for it for those that dont live close.
