WD hitch helps when the bed is loaded with gear. I run Firestone airbags too. I installed the valves by the gas cap so I don't hafta crouch when airing up or down. A little bicycle pump is enough to put the bags where I need 'em. The valve covers are magnetic, sure makes it easier. :)

The split loom covers the full length of each line.

Nice setup. What are the specs on that trailer. I notice you have a protector under the aftermarket mirror. To keep it from scratching? I have the same mirror.

The specs on this unit are here. http://www.rvguide.com/specs/jayco/travel-trailer/2010/jay-flight-g2/23-fb.html
It's the max for this truck but I never haul further than 100mile radius, I use a tent when making long miles or backcountry. That's 3M on the mirror, lots of flying rocks here and although its ugly looking now, it has saved my paint from abuse. A black plastic heated towing mirror though would really please me.

Do most of you who tow travel trailers have towing mirrors on both sides? I just have on the passenger side. For the driver side, I have good view on the stock mirror.

I have a hard time seeing cars behind me with just the stock mirror - and my trailer is fairly narrow at 7'. The extended mirror lets me see traffic directly behind me. Much safer when looking to pass someone on the highway when I can see there's no one coming up fast behind me that is intending to try and pass me when I'm attempting to pass someone else.

I have both of my tow mirrors on when I towed my trailer home. Our travel trailer is roughly 8 ft wide. So I definitly need to see down the sides a bit more than the stock mirrors can give.

I really want a pop up camper, but would have to store it somewhere and that gets very expensive. My other option is a smaller off road trailer that I could get in my back yard. Does anyone pay trailer storage?? and how much??

I'd build a wider gate on my fence before I paid storage fees anywhere. I want a military trailer to create a camping setup, but the wife is resisting because I just got a brand new truck. :D

That is exactly what I want. Found this web site for a good price on a trailer. I have found a couple of M416 trailers, but require allot of work

In NJ storage fees range from $50-75 a month. In this state we are so packed together and don't have yards big enough for storing a camper. Most city ordinances don't allow you to store trailers in your yard or on the street. If the city allows you store it, it has to be away from the street a certain amount of feet or they will fine you. Some only allow popups and not trailers.

If you live in a neighborhood with a Home Owners Association, odds are they don't allow campers to be stored in your yard - or on the driveway. I pay $55/month to store mine.

She's right between the camper and truck.

$3,000 for one of those trailers, and $90 just for brackets to hold a water can or propane tank!

There are a bunch of military trailers on Craigslist in my area that appear to be in pretty good shape. Here is a larger one that doesn't have any visible rust for $800. You could spend a few hundred bucks on it and make it comparable to that $3,000 trailer.

I like the smaller m416 trailers, but these larger m101 trailers would probably be better for camping setups and actually using it as a trailer to haul stuff.

Those are nice and easily found on CL, but again it would be harder to get in my yard and if I am gonna tow a 1,500lb trailer might as well be a pop up camper

Yeah good point, but it would't be yours if you know what I mean. When I look at that trailer I see endless possibilities on set ups. Also a lot of money flowing out of my pocket. :D
