Another issue I've been dealing with.....i don't know anything I'm actually passionate about. I mean my truck but what am I supposed to do with that? Id love to take my truck down some dirt roads but I still live at home and my parents don't just let me drive wherever I want. A reason I'm looking forward to college but getting into college is also stressing me out. As well as grades at the moment. And it just seems that anything I do that brings happiness is only temporary...when it's over, reality sets back in and back to the depression I go. I don't really get enjoyment out of a hard workout...I guess just hard work.

i was there not too long ago. for now, my recommendation would be to just do as well as you can and focus on school. once you get into college, you can do a lot more exploring about what you want to do for fun.

Yeah its not really depression, no insomnia or anything like that buy just kinda feeling down and can't find a source of happiness. What my grandfather calls "the blahs" haha.

And my parents wont let me wheel my truck until I pay it off (which might be a possibility fairly soon) or till I'm in college.

Beer kegs, facebook, throw all that in the shitcan. You are not a 14 yo girl. As others have said spend some time in the woods, Im 64 in 90 days this is not hot air just the way it is.. Stay away from assholes and users,,,,Good luck in life .....Jim:cool:

^^He has a good point. My last week has only made me want to get in the middle of nowhere, out there there are no worries. I can relate to you some, getting into college, school, high school BS, but in the end, get what you need to get done, and do something you love.

Yeah, they definitely hover.....sometimes its a good thing but times like these, when I need an escape from life, I'm just cooped up in my room because it's the closest thing to being alone I've got. Unless its mowing on the weekend which is about to be over, don't know what I'll do without my thinking time.

I look into the mirror and smile...start making funny faces and lot's of smiling. As silly as that may sound, it works. Then I go do something that I like to do, that takes mental energy and concentration...that works great for me.

I've tried taking a drive and getting somewhere secluded but I found that I usually start focusing on the issue.

    I'm 17....I don't get vacations.

And can anyone tell me how to quote multiple posts in my reply? It'd be a lot easier.

Working out really helps, even with real depression (trust me I know its just hard to get into). go eat something you like, for me a pizza philly cheese steak sandwich is good and get it to go pick up a movie and grab a beer if you want.

Edit: click the quotations button on the comment then hit quote in the last one

Again I go back to the statement "I can't find anything that I love to do" mainly because I haven't experienced all that much.

Just think about all the womens you'll be f'ing in the near future....f'ing helps me out.
And it sounds more like boredom....get a hobby. Try different shit and see which one sticks. You'll never know if you don't try.
You seem like a kid with a good head on his shoulders...remind your parents about that and maybe ask if you can go for a quick drive.
