    Have you put an intake on your truck? Unless you're going to do the support mods for the intake, the truck is better off with a stock intake.

    Using Mobil 1 0w20 Eco synthetic? The oil does make a difference and the 2TR Loves the light weight oil. You can get it at walmart for 27 dollars for a 5 quart jug, and its the only thing I use along with the toyota factory filters.

    I decided not to go that route and sold my intake and just stuck with the Doug Thorley.

    I only have 16k miles on my truck I think you have right around that much as well.

    None of what u say makes sense still though. U should NOT be getting 15 mpg damn near no matter what u do. The only thing it can be is something is wrong with ur truck or something is wrong with u!! U mean to tell me that u get 2-3 mpg less then a v6 on 35s!? It makes no sense! Im putting 4.88s in my truck so that I can go back to getting 23-24 mpg. Ur looking at doin it just to get 18-19.

    i'm a bit confused? did some of u say ur running 4.10 stock? i thought they came with 3.73 stock? and lower gears will net u better city mileage since ur shifting sooner and the engine doesn't have to work as hard to turn your wheels, but dramatically lower ur hwy since ur running 3k rpms (about 50% more than 3.73 which should net about 50% less hwy mpg through the transverse property of concurrency, or something like that) right?

    None that I know of. I know a 4th gen supra comes with 3.27s, well im pretty sure anyway

    Hmmmmm, never heard it called axle and gear. Although it has an R&P that stand for ring and pinion! Lol and those r for a v6. The 8” diff is the one with an e-locker. No 4 cyl. comes with an e-locker. All 4 cyl. have a 8.4” diff and v6 with no e-locker have a 8.4” diff

    i'm thinkin that its the 4.0's that aren't prerunner or 4x4 the more and more i ponder upon the subject but could be wrong about that. i just did a google search and this is what i found it must be the acces cabs and reg cabs with v6's that come with 3.31 or 3.58 depend on transmission.

    The brand is called G2 axle and gear wasnt trying to say it was! :D... Yeah mines an e- locker but if you pull it up by part number it comes up as a 4 cylinder im honestly just sick of em they arent going in my truck and i want to get rid of them they take up room.. pointless room

    265/65/16's are in reality are just big 31's.

    I never noticed any issue with my 265/70/17's and my spedo was perfect leading me to assume so were my gears.

    Now that I'm on tall 33's I could use some new gears, but most likely 410's would do it just fine. I would never say I'm on 34's unless I was on 34's. Same thing applies to OP I would believe.

    This is probably a retarded question, so excuse my ignorance on the topic of of gears, but all of you guys seem to have manual transmissions. Does regearing have the same positive effects on Autos?

    Sorry again for the ignorance, I don't know much about gears and trannys (Other than the ones in vegas)
