    Agree with what others have said. Afe pro s came installed it in a minute. Went open throttle. Gear shift and climb was smoother than stock filter. I'm happy.

    1. 6 hp at 5000 RPM (Dyno) I drive my truck hard and always tac out so for me it was huge. Cheapest horse power gain out there
    2. IDK i drive so hard that i get about 10-12 mpg anyways:cool:
    3.No MAF problems i dont see where you would get a problem i dont run my filter sopping wet with oil

    So do people leave the secondary air filter in? The smaller one that is on the engine side when you seperate the air filter holder?

    Took mine out....no issues. Can't say whether it made a difference or not. But when holding up to a light source there is a restitance based medium in there. Try it yourself.

    I noticed a slightly smoother throttle response when I removed mine. Less hesitation when accelerating.

    I haven't seen any evidence here that with the I4 it makes a difference and mine is still in with great mpg.

    At Toyotanation the conventional wisdom is still it makes a HUGE difference with the V6.

    That mythical throttle response thing.

    It doesn't do squat on either since it has minimal resistance in the first place.

    Everything I've read was saying it works and on the 2.7l and little difference with v6's

    It's plastic welded in place, so I'm pretty sure if you were careful taking it out it could be put back. So it's not irreversible.

    I guess im just trying to really get more sound like the deck plate mod but with a 2nd gen... and if I get increased benefits that is a plus lol
