Interesting link. I noticed several brands that are highly advertised that rate one star.
Several years ago I did my own research and selected Kirkland brand. Looks like a good choice.

The power of advertising! Most people dont research animal foods, as much as they should. Take Science Diet for example. Being as its "Science" diet, people automaticly think its good shit. Dogs will eat it. hell......My Dogs just finished up a roll of toilet paper........Doesnt mean its good for them though.

This is very true. We used to feed our dogs the jerky sticks that have a blonde lab
On the front of the bag ( can't remember the name ) but my dog
Died of kidney failure. She was only 5 years old too young
    To have died from that.

So I would definitely suggest never feed your dogs anything from
    Damn china

Im really sorry about your Lab. My biggest fear is something like that happening to my lab. From what I have read the diamond brand is suppose to be pretty good. They make several brands in their facility. We feed Taste Of the Wild. Its been great for our dogs. We pretty much buy anything our dogs eat at the hippy boutique stores. We pay more, but I think its worth it. My wife even bakes most of our doggie treats herself.

But yeah dont get me started but we should quit selling our souls to China. They are NOT our friends.

The kierland brand from costco gets a hella good rating and did wonders for my pup who had to be put down because his hip went bad....

Welp.....I went on a quest today to find Dog treats that were clearly not made in china. I had great luck! I got a couple bags of stuff, and on the front, one said "Made in USA" in white, while the other bag had the same "Made in USA", but printed in a Red White and Blue Dog bone pic. Prices were about 2 bucks more than the china made shit.

Thanks. It wasn't my lab that died it was my small jack
Russel. If it was my lab I'd be killing someone, but I felt
Bad for days after we had to put her down.

Just to warn people. If your dog doesn't eat and starts
Loosing massive weight. You might want to get them
Checked out. That's what happened to my dog then we
Out about her kidney failure, resulting in us having to put
Her down. We thought she was just slimming down because
She still had plenty of energy and wanted to play all the
Time. So it was a big surprise when we found out.

Blue Buffalo is great dogfood but damn expensive. Just a fore-warning, ease them into it and if you're coming from a generic food, you might have to cut down the portions a little bit. Blue Buffalo is packed with great stuff so they get a ton of calories from less food (which means you really have to be careful with portion control). My guy couldn't handle it, gave him the runs, too much rich food packed in. I ended up putting him on Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet to cut out the corn products.

Another thing, if you find that you have to cut down the portions but your dog becomes a begger, like he's always hungry, you can use a filler like frozen beans that have basically no calories but just gives him more to eat.

If you actually have a puppy, the Iams puppy food is pretty decent. The adult food is packed with fillers though.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Purina used to include a bog of that as a free trial.
Your dog eats like a queen!

I'm surfing the advisory site now that 4x4 posted. Seems both brands I use are 1 star.

I switched both girls to 4health... it's rated 4 stars. Wanted to go with Kirkland, but no Costco close. Tractor Supply is 2 miles away.

A little of this and a little of that.
    +1

I remember reading a magazine article close to two years ago about questionable ingredients in dog food made in China. It was in an equestrian/veterinary themed magazine and the article focused on herding dogs. I was at the dentist office.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Wouldn't surprise me, China takes pride in torturing dogs and cats for fun after all. Supposedly it makes the meat taste better, sick fucks...I am not against killing things for food, but torture is wrong no matter how you look at it.
