Are we undefeated? Yes. Was yesterday pretty? No. There is no reason to panic when we haven't lost a damn game yet. They had great matchups against our D yesterday and they gameplanned Jarvis very well. Their O-line is very good and it showed. They have 2 of, if not the best receivers in the conference. Our offense backed our D in to a corner twice. This D will improve with everyone back and a game under their belt. Step off the ledge, we're 5-0 and have a big game against South Carolina this weekend.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I was looking forward to the Oregon/Oregon state game... now it seems it could turn into a slug fest for the Pac-12 north crown. This is turning into an interesting season so far.

Have some catching up to do, been w/o internet for a couple days. :(

The good, the Gamecocks don't have the passing attack thus allowing us to focus more on the run.

The bad, I'm worried after such an emotional game going into the biggest game of the year. Hell even just as a fan I was emotionally drained after that game, I'm afraid of a lackluster performance going in.

Every championship team has "that game" they struggled and got by. Not saying we will win a championship but just pointing out that could be "that game", just glad to have got by it.

As far as next week, our O line has done a good job so far (knock on wood) but I think it is our weak point and SC has a hell of a defensive front. I look for another low scoring gut wrenching game against them which is bad timing coming off from such an emotional game. I think it all will come down to how good our o line holds up weather it's pass blocking or opening up holes.

As far as the UT game. I don't know what the hell is going on. I do have to give them credit, they took advantage of several dumb mistakes. But I also say we were lucky with a few key drops and bad throws that really could have changed the outcome. And also have to say their was some dumb play calling on Bozo's part. Although we did try to throw late when we needed to run out the clock and had some drops and bad passes ourselves. I just hope we don't come out flat next week.

Georgia has the better Q.B. Coaching is going to be big in the game. ^

Oh and I was going to say this also, I've been on the fence about Richt lately. When we went into the half I said if Richt didn't settle this team down and come out and take over the 2nd half it would push me over the edge. Well they did come out and play better, offense settled down, just couldn't figure out what has happened to our D?

This game had the same feel of last years bowl game.

Not so fast, there. One of the biggest differences I saw is that this team kept fighting. As far as our D goes, not worried a bit. Go to leather helmet and watch JJ's and Grantham's interviews concerning the game..

What I was referring to was the offense mostly. They started playing stupid like the pressure was getting to them and trying to do too much instead of just keep on doing what they'd been doing. But Richt did indeed seem to settle them at halftime and they came out and started executing again.

They settled down after blowing a 27-10 lead.

If coaching wins this week's game, we're screwed. Richt is doing a decent job this year, but Bobo is still doing stupid stuff. I understand the running game was working, but come on. When they're stopping the running game, there are more people in the box, opening up the passing game. Bobo doens't seem to understand that. Spurrier always seems to get his guys to give more on the field than Richt can. We'll see. It'll be a close game. I don't see a low scoring game, but a close on.

JJ and Grantham can give great interviews (I haven't seen it, by the way), but it's what happens on the field that I'm worried about. With who we've played this year, we should be a top 2 defense. Buffalo, FAU, Vandy...not exactly offensive juggernauts. I'm not on any ledge, I'm just pointing out the fact that with the offenses we've played, we should be #1 or 2 in defense, not barely in the top 50. Lattimore will have 120+ yards. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

Gameday will be in Columbia this week. Hopefully we can play up to the big game scenario.

I don't think he will have that many yards, however I think will be over 100 but not crazy like. What we need to do is pressure them into a one dimensional game - and not hand them 28 points like we did last year...some reason I don't think that will happen. I do think that Richt and the boys will be more than fired up! Go Dawgs!

Also, the more I think on the TN game, what I saw defensively was the following:

    1) Because of the abilities of TN WR's we had to play two deep safeties. They could not support the run. TN's 3 and 4 wide sets allowed us only 5 & 6 in the box. This also made our blitz packages very vanilla. This is the best group of WR we'll see this year.

    2) TN line although not great at run blocking, executed well, and their back ran hard.

    3) Having said all of that, the only way this game was close was because of turnovers.

True. Also, Georgia had three turnovers in the fourth and didn't cash in on any of them. Had they done that, it could have been a much bigger margin. Two turnovers inside our own twenty and a pick six also made our defense look worse than they actually played. But Tennessee also controlled Jarvis Jones pretty good, and had the good receivers split out all game, which limited how effective the defense was. But they can't allow some second rate running back run for that much on them. For next week I'm not that impressed with Lattimore since he came back from his injury. I am very impressed with our two new running backs. I'm glad Marshall had a good breakout game and that Gurley worked hard for his yards. We've also got a good strong tight end in Lynch, and three receivers that I'm confident in. Overall it was a sloppy game, Georgia is still not at full strength, and has more to show in the coming games. My team is 5-0 and I'm a happy fan.

    ^This...

I think the first order of business will be to contain Lattimore (like thats possible) and make Shaw beat us. Either way, its going to be one hell of a game.

BTW, notice that Jarvis was wearing a brace? He is still hurt and I think that Motel 6 was hurt worse than we were led to believe...
