    ^^me & dad :D I knew fractions (sorta) before kindergarten thanks to hanging out with dad in the garage. I was the go-fer and knew what to get out of the tool box for dad so he didn't have to roll back out from under the cars. I also knew how to frame a wall, hang sheetrock, and solder copper pipe before I hit puberty.

    Smart choice, girls should know the basics at least. My brother couldn't even change a tire at 19. :rolleyes: But he knows more about computers then anyone I know so we have a system. I fix his car issues, he fixes my computer issues.
    Sell your boss into slavery. He'll be so busy dealing with that and wont notice you not at work for 2 days.

    not only is it about not having to wait on someone else to do it for me but I have the option to attempt it myself or get someone else's help. And when it comes to mechanics at least I know when they're trying to BS me and take advantage. I've learned that a little knowledge goes a long ways to getting respect from mechanics.
    I have a few friends who rely on their husbands/boyfriends for EVERYTHING ...even changing lightbulbs :facepalm: I kinda feel sorry for them.
