Andrew said 35w last longer because they dont burn as bright as the 50w. thats why 35w are warrantied for 5 years and 50w are warrantied for only 3 years.

I hate to say it but that's DDM tuning for you... Some people have great luck with them, others experience what you did. Bulb for bulb, I don't believe the 35W bulbs have any longer of a life than the 50W bulbs if heat build up isn't an issue. A better quality bulb will have a longer life and not color shift as it ages either. Bulbs like the Philips and Osram bulbs will be a better, longer lasting bulb but they come at a price. The better bulbs are supposed to be crisper also. All that being said, I haven't heard of people having issues with the morimoto bulbs though as far as longevity.

yeah, I spoke with Nick of the retrofit source, I met him at Uwharrie national forest in Troy, NC. he told me about DDM an how he has heard countless experiences like I have had. He also told me how good the warranty was at TRS, I am very satisfied with the projector kits that I have seen, and Im interested in these. after you have had HID's nothing else compares

I would assume a week to give enough time for those who committed to buy a chance to pay. I don't know the expiration date of the coupon...just assuming about a week. I'm sure OP or Andrew will post a deadline date when they have it.

Also rep for OP for this group buy.

For comparison, I've had a set of HID's in my bike for almost 2 years now and they're working perfectly. The bike is worst case scenerio also, it flickers them at start up and when idling tends to sort of make the bulbs flicker (all meaning the ballasts aren't getting enough juice which is what kills ballasts). All that abuse and they're still going strong. I got them from Slim Cubby's group buy a while back but it goes you show you that quality HID kits are worth the money (TRS's morimotos are no exception).

I hear you about HID's though. I've already got a set of Blazers in my fog lights :D

theyre awesome. I contacted DDM about my lights, I was going to have to pay $19 to ship it to them, $7 dollars for them to test them. If they werent bad I would have to pay shipping back to me, and if they were bad they would ship them...... they wouldnt take my word over the phone that I had a bad wiring harness, they had to see for them self; it pissed me off, so I am done with them.

H11 fog light kit is $150 on the site and the fxr retro stage III kit with halos is $315+50 ($365) minus %25 and thats your total. not including shipping with UPS ground to 08332 (southern NJ) was less than $14.

    50w has a 3-year warranty, 35w has a 5-year warranty. :)

All OEM HID setups are 35w for a reason.

Since the first gen tacos have DRLs as the main light i should disconnect them right? I don't think i want my projectors running all day.
