    200 dollars for a piece of plastic that only cost pennies to mfg and what you said..^^ above.

    Yes I understand development cost etc. 200 is still a rip off. They should include it with the stereo head unit.

    if they said, "listen this will be the best fitting panel for your aftermarket radio ever!" then i could see if some people paid the premium for that, given the option. but to ask 200 for a dash kit to install a 1500 HU is indeed absurd.

    meanwhile the rest of us are all just out here swinging in the wind waiting :(

    Just purchased a 2012 Taco DC TRD and noticed that on Crutchfield, the 2012 doesn't have alot of Double Din decks that "Fit"....the 2011 models show a lot of DDINs. Is this because there isn't an available kit out yet, just curious. To those who have added a DVD/Navigation DDINs to their 2012, does the steering wheel adapters work for the bluetooth controls as well? BTW, I am new to the boards and looking forward to the wealth of info on here! Cheers !!!!!!!!!:)

    It may be easier/cheaper to just replace the trim pieces around the vents with 2005-2011 parts. Also facilitates the illuminated 4x4 switch mod.

    Dude that looks great. Where can I get a kit? Local shops are too unresourceful. I emailed metra and they haven't responded. Where did you get the carbon trim?

    it looks great XPS

    i have the gloss metra kit, but im not going to install it... i need to wait for someone to make a kit in flat black so it matches my dash. i was going to go through the trouble of painting it but im just not going to deal with it.

    spiral installations is out of stock. i called a few places. they are checking for me. i noticed that spiral installations sells a steering wheel interface that doesnt need programing. has anyone tried installing one of those things themselves?
