    I have read the above bumpers do not fit the 2012 in many threads. Can anyone describe what does not fit? I appreciate the design changes for 2012 and would like to know if it simply a cosmetic problem that involves gaps or something more substantive. I have my suspension mounted with 700lb coils and need a bumper now to soften up the ride.
    Thanks in advance.

    I was told there was a lot of things that needed to be modified in order to make it work.

    you'd be crazy not buying a bumper from Tyler( Pelfreybilt), the fit and finish is amazing.

    I just missed the first batch of pelfrybilt bumpers. I do like the TJM as well especially the price. Was wondering if anyone has installed an ARB or TJM on a 2012 and how it fit, little gaps don't bother me. Truck is going to be a hunting rig w a flatbed and boxes for birddogs.

    I have communicated with people at ARB and TJM. I'm told they don't fit but they cant explain why. I have read several threads that say the problem is cosmetic and have seen photos posted of both bumpers on 2012's. Thought someone who has experienced an install might share their experience.

    I was rolling to work and didn't have time to stop for a better pic. You can see my Eurovan's mirror in the pic. Sorry.

    That is the ARB rep's Tacoma. The bumper sat really close to the body. It looked like it would rub if they wheeled it.

    Not dead set on ARB or TJM. ARB keeps pushing back their availability, they now have a part number but estimate inventory by a number of months. The TJM price of $499 had me wanting to buy if I could make it fit without too much modification. The smaller builders have long build times and some do not mount as secure as I would like. I need one soon that's why the post. Probably get a Pelfrybilt.

    Time is a factor, the truck will be used as a quail hunting rig. The season starts in November and I am uncomfortable without a winch. I communicated with the manufs. By email and don't recall the name of those who responded. If you have been following the ARB release date you know it's been pushed back several times, I am skeptical about Nov,Dec dates.

    I found ARB response;

    The part number was just released for it this week. *3423140. *It's a new bumper to accept the new redesigned shape of the 2012 Tacoma. *The older bumper will not fit on there. *Now that we have a part number, it will probably be another 3-4 months before we have some stock of them.

    Thanks,
    Michael Tomczyk
