Ok so the new truck is not here yet but I've seen here on TW that it takes forever and a day to get rocksliders from shrockworks. Not bashing them but Im thinking if I want them for the summer I should order them now. RIGHT? Thats question 1 second is does anyone have pics of the gray powdercoat sliders Im getting the magnetic gray taco. The last question I know has its been done and I've seen alot of back and forth on this but once again bolt on or weld on. SORRY for that. So if anyone could help me out it would be a big help thanks TW.

bolt on if you want the ability to take all the stuff off your truck, Remember that bolts will be the weak point, and your sliders will be handicapped, might come loose, start rattling etc...

If you want the sturdyness, and dont care if you cant take them off with normal household tools, go weld on for more strength and better offroad performance

Contacted them today, 8 to 10 week ship time, so roughly late Feb or mid March.
Good thing if you call you can give them your C.C. info, and tell them to charge half now and half when they ship.
Have not heard any reports of bolts coming loose, but you could spot weld area's if you wanted to.

schrock stuff looks best in black. in grey it really looks its size, trust me on this.
Also schrock stuff is HEAVY!!! heavier even than advertised. To get the strength one needs out of mild steel one needs lots of it.
The stuff is very stout and well made.
Plan on extensive suspension tweaks and loss in MPG.

Yes, sliders on a jeep - they are not as bad as the bumper when it comes to weight but they still weighed almost 100lb a side including the sturdy mounting plate hardware. The grey is a nightmare to touch up from trail rash. I lost about 1/2 inch height on a previous gen rubicon with them.

Shrock bumper I had on an Xterra. gave me a sold inch of sag. even when leveled the front end bobbed and dove noticeably.

Protest as you must but anytime you add weight to a vehicle you hurt the MPG. None of us is immune to the laws of physics.
As to sag, Heck, I can put a bag of concrete mix (80 lb) in the bed of my truck and measure a sag at the receiver (btw: I have the TSB). I suppose it is possible your Tacoma is special and a lot better than mine though.
