Alright well couple of months ago got hit and had to replace rear axle. the new axle doesn't have a locker at all and my old one did but didn't work is it possible to fix that locker and put it in the new axle?

I know I can just buy a aftermarket but since I already have a stock one I would like to save the money if I can

well I've heard they aren't able to be fixed. which is why I was asking if it is possible and if so, had anyone actually done this.

It's probably the electric motor that's burnt out just take it apart and look online for diagrams to see how to disassemble it and what goes where

So your old axle got bent but it had an e-locker that wasn't working? And your new axle doesn't have a factory e-locker?

So will the e-locker even fit in the housing if you got it working. You can definitely fix the e-locker but it'll require the correct housing and then you'll have to swap 3rds.

This op count the number of bolts on the housing of the elocker and the non elocker if they have the same amount of bolts should be able to bolt up.i have read that it's different bolt pattern on the housing and third member so you can't put the elocker in non elocker axle

so only if the bolts match up I could swap the housing? and would it matter that both 3rds have different gears? But I know you can fit lockers in other non e-locker axles what would make this one different?

sorry for all the questions its all kinda confusing. thanks for all the input though :D
