I have OME 885's with wheelers top plate 1/2" spacer in the front. And toytec AAL in the rear. I want to add another inch to the front to level it out, so i was all set to order 5100's....UNTIL I saw that toytec reccomends these set at 0 if used with aftermarket coil lifts. Whats the reasoning?

CV angle? I would do the diff drop since I dont offroad seriously.
Needle Bearing Vibration? I'll be doing the east coast gear fix.
    Alignment problems?

    Anyone know?

On my phone at the moment so bear with me, but i run my 5100s at.85 setting with the 885s no problem, its just not recomended since youre preloading the springs. Little stiffer but got the lift i wanted

The OME coils are pretty strong when compared to stock or even eibach. My guess is that the 5100 isn't designed to handle that much pressure. I run my 885's with the 5100's at zero and wouldn't mind knowing the actual answer myself. sub'd.

i know im a first gen, but the main reason is the CV's cant hold the height of it, even with a diff drop its not low enough. thats our reason at least.

The strut top spacer does not preload the springs. Do you have the diff drop? How long have you been running that setup?

Shouldnt the front be leveled out, the 885 with top spacer should give about 3" lift or am I wrong?

Correct. He was talking about preloading the spring by running the 5100 at .85.

I only got about 2"-ish of lift with the 885's with 5100's at zero. I have the lean spacer on the drivers side but no other top spacers.

What shocks are you using now with the 885 and spacer? how much rake do you have now with your current set up?

Gotcha, I thought he meant I was already pre loading

Trd off road factory bilsteins. I think i'm going to to the ecg vibration fix, diff drop and set 5100's at 1". I can always adjust them down, and if I cant align I'll just buy new uca's. love my Tacoma, just wish it didn't cause so many problems lifting it a mere three inches. My dad had a dodge ram, with 3" coil spacers and a rear leaf block (no I didn't suggest that) but he's put over 100k miles on it with zero issues

The general consensus regarding the UCA's is that you're usully fine up to about 2.5" of lift. Once you go over that, you will more than likely need to replace them if you want to get an accurate alignment.

I will be taking pics once i get my mud terrains on, should be soon, i'll make sure to take pics before i add the billsteins. It made a noticeable difference. Wit AC's you get more lift than DC's as well :)
