Indeed! Minus when I had to figure out how to get the two clips out of the top of the gauge cover..found the answer 2 hours later in an audio thread..the clip wasn't yelling..push in the middle and it will just pop right out!

Here is how mine turned out. It took maybe an hour including the time for letting the paint dry between coats.

What'd you guys do for prepping them to paint? I'm redoing mine soon, they didn't hold up as well as I'd hoped. Hard to tell if that is metal or plastic.

They are plastic, I sanded them out and then used fusion primer then a flat black for mine.

It is plastic, I did nothing to prep, I just went down to autozone and got paint that's sticks to plastic. I forgot the brand name, or else I would give it. Just ask at autozone

I lightly sanded it and then baked it for about 15 minutes after I painted it.

No, Painted and then baked. Helps the paint cure.

I also did mine cant figure out how to post a pic from me phone but I prepped mine as if I was painting my grill because I wanted to see how close I could get the paint to match my impulse red.. It patched perfect with duplicolor paint so next project is getting rid of that ugly chrome grill

I don't have a link, but I used an exact knife and a very thin flathead. Gently pry up the emblem one side at a time and as soon as you can see the pins that hold it into place cut them off.

I would be surprised if the emblem was on there differently. Maybe you could be the first to dive in there? :)
