I see that sucks... Next major wheeling trip you'll have to rake up that door really good to replace that dent with a battle scar ;)

beats me. haha. Either it is because his name is so close to Ian's or because the years of his Taco in his description don't match or both or who knows. haha

His description on the left says it's an '06 and if you put your mouse over it is says '96

Tomorrow!!!! I wish...:pout: haha. I really don't know what direction I want to go anymore... Hopefully in about 3 years I will have a good paying EE job and I can sell off my 4.88's and front ARB and get some good solid axles to throw underneath there:D That would be ideal, but is less realistic because of money already invested into it.

More realistic would probably be a TC LT kit and some sort of a rear LT setup I guess.

Cause I got it all figured out :D haha

    Jk

But I do thing LT up front is great. Brady if your looking at LT I'd go allpro. It doesn't push out as wide so you can still run stock fenders but have the LT articulation.

I can wait to do my front LT. ill never do LT out back tho. Want hold my expo weight.

I want SFA over LT for at least 2 reasons.

    1. I am locked up front, cv's break easier than solid axles.
    2. Due to cv angles you are pretty much capped at 35's. 36's with a BL and 37's with some extra work. I think 40's would be a good crawl size.

When I went wheeling with SIK (Southeast Idaho Krawlers). I was the only IFS. The rest were SFA with both linked and leafed suspensions and 33's up to 40's. They had no problems crawling over the rocks in the crawling area and they performed just fine jumping them in the dunes as well.

IFS makes for a better DD rig. LT is just easier to do than SAS and generally cheaper as well and it typically handles better on the freeway. At least these are the conclusions I have come to as I researched both.

I read an allpro LT install thread the other day and it was chucked full of people complaining about all kinds of problems with their kit. I was pretty surprised. TC makes 2 kits anyway, a 2" and a 3.5".

Also I have come to the conclusion that you can really only have big tires, or lots of travel with stock fenders, not both... so alas I will fork out the money when the time comes to get some glass fenders.

For LT in the rear, couldn't you just run some wider shock hoops through the fenders? Just something simple so it won't take up much space.

Ill have to watch it later.

I'm not worried about a front locker and ifs. Just be careful and cvs are cheap anyways. Rather break a cv then a diff

I do want LT tho more for the fact I can still use the truck on the highway safely. I'm going for expedition stuff so traveling long distances in reasonable comfort is important at good speeds.

Is easier tho and cheaper with out a doubt. Especially since I won't go full out with like hydro bump stops amd triple by pass secondary's haha

Oh I didn't know that. TC it is haha what I'll end up I think unless Tim gets his kit all done.

And it's not the SUA part or shock relocating..it's the leafs them selves. Don't hold weight for beans. I have 5" lift now easy with a fully loaded truck. And it flexes amazingly good and rides awesome. I'm just not happy with the front anymore....and I want 35s :D 35s to me will take me everywhere and beyond I want to go.
