Not true. Some of us live up here BECAUSE it's cold. I hate the heat and in most cases you'll find my A/C on even when the snow's falling. At the very least I'll have my window open. Which is entirely why my wife has her own car:D

^ I on the other hand THRIVE in hot, humid weather. Much like an iguana, I cower at anything below 65 degrees. I'm a puss in the cold, I cannot even lie.

Yeah well call me when you get that ridgeline stuck lol
I honestly don't care about speed, power for towing and getting through the mud, yes. But I know damn well that if you are drawing in hot air the engine won't run as.efficiently. but my delimma even with a ram air would be water in.the intake. That's why I was considering the in cab that everyone keeps.ragging on. My truck is a stricktly off road and hunting truck with the.occasional highway travel. So I honestly don't care about my damn intake making some noise if its gonna protect my truck from possible water damage to the engine. And If I do it it will be all nice and mounted properly not some Jerry rigging bs that is held together by retard strength and ducttape. Hell I might even.put it under the dash on the passanger side and have the floor vent ducted right to it and make a cut off under the hood with a 3 position valve so I can run the interior intake in the summer and exterior intake in the winter with a turn of a valve.

Na, somethings you don't have to try to know they won't work.

Takes more power to run the air conditioner than you can gain from marginally colder air.

If I run the ac in the summer regardless what the hell is the difference? Might as well get some good use out of the cold air besides keeping me cool on 112 degree days.

If you effectively get the cold air into your engine then you won't be able to keep you cool too.

If you have enough guys (or women) riding with you, you an all fart at the same time and the methane from exploding asses will be sucked into the intake thus creating BOOST!! or you just keep a can of starter fluid and spray directly into the intake when you race or need moar power to spin the wheels! Brilliant!!

Good thing it's a dual snorkel because there's enough bends in that PVC to make that 5.7 Hemi run like a 20R.

It just flat out won't work anyway you swing it, and it doesn't take an engineer to figure it out. There is simply not enough volume of air coming from that tiny little A/C vent to supply your 4.0 V6. I believe most V6 engines need at least or around 1700 cubic feet per minute.

Just making the air cooler doesn't necessarily mean you would have more oxygen per cubic inch of air. After all, oxygen is the element that you need to run the engine efficiently. As far as keeping the engine protected, hellz yeah! by far the safest idea ever (NO SARCASM). As far as making this thing, and trying to see if it performs well or no, iono i don't think this is an era of trial and error, engineering calculations could be done, and maybe it is done already. I'm sure you can find some numbers on how much air does the intake suck in each given time, and how much air you would have in the cabin, after you and your passengers fill up the cabin with co2... iono i could be way off here, IM NOT YET AN ENGINEER so i do not know for sure.
Good luck tho! and keep that engine safe, i would say!:D

and the guy who posted above me seems to have some numbers, but he is not sure, could be pulling outa his butt, but something to consider tho!
