It's worked out great so far. As long as I stay aware of what obsticles are coming up I'm ok. I've only hit the diff when being careless and even then it wasn't anything horrible.

Thanks Jerry, I'm ready to see yours come together! Your trucks been one of my favorites for a long time. Jerret actually used yours as an example to sell me on the shell  If I'm not mistaken we have the exact same one lol

Thanks man, I've had a lot of fun with it but there's still a lot that I would like to do... but I would also like to start build a 2nd gen before too long

I believe 4.88's will be in the near future...

I'm going start on making a sleeping platform/storage area for the camper here soon. It's going to be an interesting winter...

I put in 2in blocks today to help level out the rear =/

I'm not a fan of them, but I'm not planning to do any crazy off-roading between now and year end. It did help me decide on the All-Pro Expo's. I think they would put me around the same ride height, plus Creeper joints in the rear should help the rear flex pretty good.

I'm seriously considering SAS'ing the Taco in a couple years. I really like how yours turned out.

Looking good! Would you be worried about those creeper joints getting a little sketchy in the turns?

    1) Air and opportunity man, it would be sick! I love how your Tacoma is setup, just lacking front drive

    2) Yeah it might, but I like living on the edge

I will have to look into it and see... good issue to be addressed

Yes, one day. I tell my friends that one day the Taco will be 4wd and they look at me like I'm crazy . I could have done it by now but I'm not ready to tear up such a nice truck.

You just have to get past that first scratch... it's all down hill after that

This weekend I may just have to "accidently" bump into it ;)

When I was talking to Alcan and asked about their version if creepers which is orbit eyes he said that if I just had the rear one it wouldn't be that bad.

Also Adam are you sure on expos?? Sure they lift a lot but they won't flex really good without 300+lbs in the back..unless you haul that much when wheeling then I say go for it

That's good to hear on the creepers

Usually when we go wheeling/camping everything ends up in my truck. I'm looking at a 200lb camper shell, spare 33, 3-4 gallons of misc fluids, tools, and I'm looking to build a platform for the back for storage + the extra weight on bumpers. I've kept adding things to is and it keeps sagging more and more.

Just reading up the page and saw you were thinking about All-Pro Expos when you remove your blocks. Just giving you my experience, i bought the standard leafs from them thinking i will be getting a solid 3" of lift. Well they've been installed for a month or so and im still sitting strong at 5.5" of lift in the rear. Now if expos work the same way you may be sitting at 6.5" giving they say they are stiffer. ;)
