What is the differnce between the seats on SR5 vs TRD?

I've searched but not really found the specific difference between the seats.

    I'm considering getting a 2012 Tacoma 4x4 double cab long bed SR5.

The TRD seats have about an inch or two more foam on the front, supporting your upper legs better. It all depends on personal preference. I say go sit in each of them, and see if you even notice the difference.

They're both good seats, different in some respects, some prefer the SR5 seats, others prefer the TRD seats. I can't give you specifics since its been a while since I've looked at TRD seats. I will say that I love the SR5 seats for very long driving trips.

Your best option is definitely to go check them out for yourself.

TRD seats are freakin sweat. I've actually replaced all the seating in my house with TRD seats.

Its a completely different frame between them. Fabric is only "upgraded" from BASE to TRD. SR5 has equal fabric upgrade as the TRD.

TRD has Sport specific fabric. SR5 has "SR5 fabric"

I don't believe they're equal as you say they are. Guess I don't know how to scientifically measure that. I guess I find the center panel pattern on the SR5 fabric unappealing.

Right. "Different" doesn't imply better or worse. As I mentioned before, one really needs to have a try in order to decide which they prefer.
