1st bullshit. Ride till you don't like it. I was almost killed in an accident in July, so I know how it feels. Sorry for your loss Joel, but don't let this affect your decision. Plenty of people die in cages everyday. Accidents happen all the time. I am by far not done riding. Life can end at anytime and is precious, so live it up every dAy. Just like my accident, completely avoidable, dumb fuck rear ended me on a highway. This shit makes me so mad.

Your crazy. What color is the sky in your world?

First off.... you broke no bones, tore no tendons, had no internal bleeding yet almost got killed? Really? I find that offensive considering the previous conversation about people who actually passed away.

Secondly.... bikes are considerably more dangerous then cars or trucks and that's a fact. You wanna keep riding in the most densely packed state in the country have fun. You will get hit again. It's not a matter of "if" you will go down on a bike it's "when".

    I have them as well

If it wasn't for the $1000 worth of gear, I would have been dead, the gear saved my life. Sorry if ur offended, but my statement is fact, almost killed to you apparently means being 1 inch from death apparently, if I shot a gun, and the bullet grazed ur ear, wouldn't you say you we're almost killed by that bullet, even though it just hit your ear? Joel was also almost killed IMO, but thank god his bike didn't go down and lives to ride another day.( if I understood his story correctly) I said almost killed, not close to death, maybe your perception is skewed a bit.

And I live in one of the least populated counties in nj, I ride in ny state and pa, and go on many interstate rides. I know nj sucks for its roads, but that is why I don't live in those areas and live in njs "mountainous country region." Where are bikes considerably more dangerous? Riding may be, but skilled riders are def not "more dangerous" I've never been down on my bike aside from soccer dads minivan trying to reconfigure my skeleton with his hood and windshield.

Edit: they cleared a landing for a medieval chopper due to severity of accident, but cancelled it when they saw that I had an angel on my shoulder and it wasn't needed, may e the angel was my pops, maybe it was alpine stars gear, either way, a miracle it was and I am thankful everyday since

Boyd, another thing crossed my mind, a story of a skydiver whose chute did not open but he survived after hitting the ground with only a broken arm I believe. Wouldn't you say that was an accident that almost killed him, but some luck saved his life? I guess we look at the world in different ways. And in my world, the sky is whatever color I want it to be, that's why I can smile everyday. But when u work in a crack filled city and see trash all day, I can understand why your vision is blurred
