    I did not read the 26 previous pages.

    The way I look at it is you have 3 options if this did happen.

    Option 1 turn in your guns
    Option 2 hide your guns
    Option 3 fight
    Maybe an option 4 which would be a combo of 2 and 3.

    I have always said over my dead body but I have a son now. I feel I have an obligation and if I'm dead I would not be here to fulfill that obligation to my son. I want to say that I would fight but saying and doing are two different things. If people were to stand up to the tyranny every one would have to be on the same page to win. Do you think our government would sit back and fail? Hopefully this never happens. The best way to keep our gun rights and guns is to be a member of the NRA or other pro-gun organization. Give to the NRA ILA.

    Nor was this country formed by childless men, just an excuse imho. I can understand the part about everyone needing to be on the same page.

    If one were to stand up to the government for trying to take away their fundamental rights they are demonized by the gov and media as an extremist/racist/crazy etc. I'm none of the above but I have nothing to fight for as all my guns were lost in a boating accident some time ago. You can't stand up for your rights unless you're a fuckin hippy.

    I agree 100%, however if big brother says they want your guns which they are trying like hell to do already. It will systematically happen.
    The problem is that only the law abiding citizens are punished, the criminals arent going to give them up are they?
    So all the "good" guys follow the law by giving up their guns, however the "Bad" guys are still armed to the teeth, sounds like a fantastic idea!

    Why cant these idiotic sheep that are in Congress see that, morons! I know why, money and personal agendas, if some jackwagon in Congress is anti-gun he will do his best to pass some stupid law to try and keep people from owning them because he/she thinks that person is just waiting for the day to go into a place to massacre large amounts of innocent people.

    With so many people in the world today its bound to happen, just dont blame the 99.99999% for a single persons decisions! Thats the problem with the world and govt today, if one bad apple fucks up everybody gets punished, and only the good people are affected because the bad guys couldnt care less about rules or laws.

    Actually they do. If someone was smart enough to have a good bolt gun, and a suppressor, they could wreak alot of hell. Its hard enough figuring out where a shot came from in a urban area. Even harder if its muffled.

    Random onesy twosy killings, especially if they target officers, they can effectively halt all forward progress.

    Well the 16th gives the GOV the right to collect income tax. If it was fair (the rich paying what they should) I would be happy to pay. I pay it now but I'm bitter about it.

    And the 18th was Prohibition. So I'm glad this one was screwed with. I can now fill out my tax returns while hammered, and the bitterness goes away a little.

    If someone came peacefully to your door to ask for your guns I believe you would say no but I highly doubt most would start shooting immediately. If they came for them by force I honestly doubt many of us would actually try to fight it out to the death. I like my guns as much as the next guy, and absolutely believe we should hold tight to our rights to them, but as a Marine, I just wanted to point out that the majority of people who say "not without a fight" and "over my dead body" are all talk, not all of them, but a definite most. This wouldn't happen but if your house was surrounded by armed personnel or military I feel like all this puffed up bravery would suddenly be seen as not so smart. Especially those who have families. Again, I don't see this scenario happening, but if it did, would it really be best to leave wives and children alone so we can go out shooting. People have seen too many movies haha

    I do have to disagree. If a day comes when our govt tries to confiscate or register our guns, I stand by our founding Fathers..

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

    That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
